Dartmouth Dog Lovers!
Hi, my name's Megan! My husband, Josh, and I live in the Manor Park neighbourhood and would love to open our home and lives to provide care for your dog(s). We have 6 years of boarding experience on Rover with 40+ five stars reviews from happy clients :) Both of us have also grown up caring for dogs and we have had our own, Jaxon and Bean, for 9 years now. Jaxon is a 13 year old male mixed-breed who is very well socialized and loves making new friends. Soybean is our new addition, a 5 year old chihuahua who is very friendly with people and dogs, but gets a little bit nervous in new settings. ***We both work from home and will be able to hangout with your pup all day!*** We live in a dog-proofed single-detached home with a fenced in backyard. We also live in walking distance to multiple lakes, trails and parks that I'm sure you dog would love. We want you dog to be happy and comfortable and willing to work with you to make that happen. Boarders must be housetrained, able to be home alone for a minimum of 2 hours at a time, and friendly with other dogs. We unfortunately cannot accommodate very high-energy working breeds at this time but are open to accommodating dogs of various sizes, ages and abilities, just send us a message and we can discuss :)

We never have any worries about Pearl when we leave her with Megan and Josh. They are the perfect place to leave her when we go away. She likes to have a relaxed environment and likes their dogs who are similar in size and temperament. The mail next time 💕
Megan has such a calm, nurturing energy and my 10 year Whippet walked in as though he was home at our first meeting. Her two dogs are relaxed and very sweet. I’ve never used a sitter outside of our family and breeder but I would leave our dog with Megan any day and for as long as needed! My sweet Whippet was treated like their own and I had no worries during my trip! She was kind and loved our boy🙂 He thrived and I think misses Megan and her tiny pack!
This is our preferred place for our dear Pearl to stay when we travel. Megan and Josh go out of their way to ensure she is comfortable and well cared for.
This was our second time leaving our pups with Megan and Josh and everything was great! When I was dropping them off, as soon as we turned onto their street, they went absolutely crazy and couldn’t get into the house fast enough! Knowing how excited they were to get there was a huge comfort for me. They are very well cared for with Megan and Josh and I couldn’t ask for better care givers for our Lincoln and Lexi:)
Megan gave me the peace of mind I needed to relax during my vacation. I was concerned about our senior dog who, as it turned out, had a wonderful time. Both dogs had walks and plenty of outdoors time and came home happy and healthy. Megan made sure our senior took his meds which was reassuring to me. AND there were plenty of photos of both of our dogs happily enjoying themselves. This has been our best experience and I will book my vacations around Megan’s availability to ensure our dogs have the best possible care. Thank you Megan!!! ♥️🐶🐶
Megan recently looked after my two babies - Cavalier King Charles spaniels for three nights and they had a great stay! Megan sent frequent updates with pictures. She really put my mind at ease about leaving them to go on vacation, which is what I needed. She took great care of them and they seemed to fit in very well in her home. We will continue to use Megan whenever we need someone to look after our babies!

Schedule
- At least one of us is always working from home M-F - Our jobs are flexible enough to provide lots of potty breaks and play time throughout the day, and walks at lunch and in the evening

- Fenced in backyard for playing and potty breaks - Dogs are always separated via gates during meals and if we need to leave them at the house alone - Dogs generally have free run of the house, unless you would prefer otherwise - Dogs are allowed on all furniture and in our bed, unless you would prefer otherwise

A typical day
- Lots of walks to Lake Banook, Penhorn and Oat Hill (and a swim, weather pending!) - Hikes across HRM if your dog is ok in the car - Snuggling on the couch - Taking pictures for you so you know what we've been up to!
