Overall, we had a good experience with Megan, and our dogs seemed well cared for during our trip. Communication was adequate, but it was not as proactive as we had experienced with previous Rover sitters. One area that was important to our family was receiving updates and photos. We often had to ask for pictures, and on one occasion we received a duplicate of a photo that had already been sent. We have used three previous Rover sitters who routinely sent at least a couple of photos and updates each day without being asked, so we did not realize that this was something we needed to specifically request. Megan also asked to use our pool and our washer and dryer, which we were completely comfortable with. However, when we returned home, one of our pool towels had been left dirty in the washing machine. This was a little confusing to us, especially since the washer had been used during the stay. Otherwise, the house was left in good condition, and our pets appeared well cared for. I would simply recommend being very specific about your expectations before the stay. If regular updates and photos are important to you, I would mention that upfront, as that was not something Megan provided consistently on her own in our experience.
