I ❤️ cats with & without cattitude
I grew up in, and still live, in Southern Maine! Throughout my childhood I helped take care of my family’s beloved (and sassy) cat, who unfortunately passed away due to old age last year. I also fed (and cuddled with!) my roommates’ cats this past year whenever they were out of town and needed a helping hand. I have scooped litter, swiftly avoided a sassy paw swipe, and given love and attention to cats, meeting them where their needs are. I understand that some cats prefer having personal space and I can respect that. For cats who love cuddles, I can provide that! Let’s chat about how I can help your animals feel supported in their routine while you’re out of the house!

I can care for your dog in your home by providing bathroom breaks, walks in the neighborhood, food and water refills, and play time before and/or after! I can care for kitties in the same way with play time and food refills, with the added bonus of experience with avoiding scratches from a sassy cat, ability to put sassy cats in a carrier for the vet as-needed, and experience scooping litter. I also loves providing cuddles for cats who seek it!
Ratings and reviews
Megan was able to house/cat sit for us on rather short notice before the holidays. Communication was prompt and clear, we received lots of photos, daily updates, and came back to happy cats. House was left in great condition. I would highly recommend Megan!

Megan was amazing with our kitties while we were away on vacation for a week! This was the first time we were leaving them for vaca since we adopted them and she definitely put our minds at ease. She was consistent with updates/pictures, stuck to our specific care guide, and patient with our little troublemaker. :) We couldn't be happier with the experience!

Schedule
I’m a freelance photographer, so my working hours vary day by day. However, shoots are scheduled in advance, so I am able to schedule pet care in advance. Depending on the day, I can also meet last-minute needs! (Note: I also work a couple of part-time jobs in Portland, so if you need a house-sitter with a 30-mile radius of that area I would be very enthusiastic about that) Since I have an eye for photography, I know how to take cute pictures of your pet on my phone to send you in an update message. See the 0.5 picture’s of my roommates’ cats for reference! I have a BFA and also enjoy painting.. you can really see my love of cats in the paintings I have made, which are visible in my photo gallery.
