I've been a lover of all types of animals my entire life, raised on a farm in rural Missouri and have had at least one dog by my side for the better part of my 38 years. While living in NYC, and after working in a high-stress corporate job for years, I took a sabbatical and became a full-time dog walker in Brooklyn and never returned. (Best decision I've made!) Dog walking was the best experience of my life, but ultimately we moved out to Long Island with our then-toddler and our dog Rusty, so I had to give up my job and start anew out here on the Island. I have experience working with all sizes, breeds and temperaments of dogs. I've walked dogs both terrified of being outside and those who dragged me down the street in excitement. I've worked with a pitbull who came from an extremely abusive background and was just so desperate for love, and in my most difficult case, a 100-lb German Shepherd who had never been trained and sporadically attacked people on the street and eventually me. I've worked on housebreaking 4 week old puppies and with a 19-year-old beautiful blind pup who needed help walking. I remember every single one of them and over the years they have become an integral part of one family. They each hold a place in my heart, and yours will too. I'm available and up for any needs you and your dog might have. I can take them for walks, or jog with them, I can play inside with them, I can continue whatever training program you are working on with them, I can administer medicine and I can board them in my home. Most importantly I can provide a safe and caring companion for them while life keeps you busy. Looking forward to meeting you and your pups!
