Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy making time for, even while working full-time. I carefully plan my schedule to ensure the pets in my care receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I do my best to be as flexible as possible and will always communicate openly about my availability before accepting a booking. Whether your dog needs overnight care, walks, or drop-in visits, my goal is to provide dependable, consistent care that fits both your pet’s needs and your schedule.

Safety, trust & environment

I currently only offer in-home pet sitting. At this time, I do not provide boarding. Since I have my own dog, Nikita, and live in an apartment, I believe the best environment for the pets I care for is the one where they already feel safest and most comfortable, which is their own home. I know that every dog has their own routine, personality, and comfort level, so I make it a priority to maintain the structure they are used to while you’re away. This includes keeping up with their feeding schedule, potty breaks, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any other routines that help them feel secure. When caring for pets in their home, I treat the space with the same respect I would want someone to have in my own home. My goal is to provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where your pet can feel comfortable while giving you peace of mind that they are being cared for.

Information Meg D. would like to know about your pet

Every dog is unique, and I want to make sure I understand your pet’s personality, routines, and needs before caring for them. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can help them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. A few things I’d love to know about your pet: • Does your dog experience separation anxiety or have any behaviors I should be aware of when you leave? • What does your dog’s normal daily routine look like (feeding schedule, walks, playtime, naps, etc.)? • Where does your dog typically sleep at night? • How does your dog do around other dogs, people, children, or unfamiliar environments? • Does your dog pull, react, or have any specific behaviors while on walks? • Are there any commands, training routines, or house rules you would like me to continue? • Does your dog have any allergies, medications, dietary restrictions, or special care needs? • Are there any fears or triggers I should know about (storms, fireworks, loud noises, strangers, certain objects, etc.)? • How does your dog typically respond during storms or stressful situations, and what helps them feel calm? • Are there any favorite toys, activities, treats, or things that help your dog feel happy and comfortable? My goal is to make the transition as easy as possible for both you and your pet, so please feel free to share anything you think would help me provide the best care possible.

A typical day

I hope you feel comfortable trusting me with your wet-nosed companion(s)! My goal is to make their time with me feel fun, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible. A typical day will include plenty of affection, walks, playtime, enrichment, and lots of opportunities for your pet to feel happy and engaged. Whether that means exploring outside, playing with their favorite toys, practicing commands, enjoying some quiet companionship, or simply relaxing together, I want to make sure they feel loved and cared for. I believe the best pet care comes from getting to know each dog’s unique personality. Some dogs are full of energy and ready for an adventure, while others prefer a calm day with lots of cuddles and reassurance. I’ll take the time to learn what makes your pet happiest and create a day that fits their needs. My goal is for your dog to have a safe, positive experience and for you to come home knowing they were treated like family while you were away.

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I got my first dog when I was five years old, and from that moment on, I’ve always known that caring for animals was something I genuinely loved. For the past 10 years, I’ve been fortunate to gain hands-on experience in several areas of pet care including animal shelters, doggy daycare, grooming facilities, and working with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Every experience has taught me something new about understanding canine behavior, building trust, and providing the individualized care each dog deserves. One thing that sets me apart is that I don’t believe every dog should be cared for the same way. Some want to play for hours, some prefer quiet companionship, and others just need someone patient who helps them feel safe while you’re away. I take the time to get to know each dog’s unique personality so they feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for in a way that fits them best. Most of my bookings are for in-home pet sitting because I know how much dogs thrive in the comfort of their own environment. I stay with your pet for the majority of the day, only leaving if necessary and never for more than four hours at a time. Throughout the day, I provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, enrichment, plenty of affection, and lots of one-on-one attention so they stay active, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I also know how important it is to stay connected while you’re away from your pet. I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can see how they’re doing and have peace of mind knowing they’re happy, comfortable, and in good hands. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind and make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and well cared for until you’re back home.

Meg is amazing! We had her stay with our two dogs while out of town this past week and she went above & beyond. Pictures & videos everyday, along with daily updates on how our boys were doing. I felt 100% confident our fur babies were in great hands the whole time. Plus she took great care of our home too! Meg is our family’s dogsitter for life!
