I am willing to do what your dog or cat needs from me, whether that is going for a longer walk, simply sitting in the grass and petting them, or playing for a while inside or outside. Just like people, pets have personalities and moods, and I try my best to understand how I can help most in every situation, no matter how your pet feels that day. I have, in the past, played with, fed, and walked big dogs and little dogs multiple times a day, and I am experienced with older dogs as well as puppies. I like going on longer walks, but if your dog wants to cut the walk short, that's fine, too! I feed my guinea pigs fresh food, check their water level, and give them fresh hay every day. With hamsters I generally give them a snack in the morning and evening when they're up, and I let them play outside of their cage in their ball or on my hands. No matter the breed or animal, I've always flowed with a balance of what is best for the pet (what you want of my care) and what the pet wants. I'm flexible and comfortable with all types of dogs and small animals.
Information Meg B. would like to know about your pet
If I’ve never booked with you before, we will need to have a meet and greet. I will not be able to care for your pet if I’ve never met you or your pet — this is because it’s important to gauge how well your pet and I will get along. Over the years, I have helped with a few dogs with some special needs, so let me know if your pet needs extra care in some form or another or has trouble relating to humans, because these pets require me to introduce myself to them slower, and I want to make your pet as comfortable as he or she can be around me. Having had a few myself, I'm familiar with protective and skittish pets. For these instances, I prefer having a longer get-to-know-you meet and greet, where the pet can get to know my smell and I can see what actions trigger him/her.
A typical day
I love playing with dogs and helping shy dogs become more comfortable to explore the world around them, whether that means checking out a new part of the neighborhood or playing with a new toy. One of my favorite things is to make a fun day for a pet I'm watching. Try a new path on the walk? I'm down. Let's go explore new places and sniff every single piece of grass.

Pet care experience
I have fed and played with dogs since I was 10, and when I was 12, I started walking dogs on a regular basis and getting involved with animal rescues. Now I'm in college, and I still need my fur fix! I'd love to play, cuddle, and walk your baby. I spent some time with rescue cats a few years back, mostly playing and petting them, and over the years I've taken care of several kitties and cats. It's always so cute to see when they come out of their shell. I been on and off involved with a rescue, where I walked big, small, young, and older dogs. I know how to be patient and compassionate with puppies and older dogs. Now of my own babies, I have two guinea pigs, and I've owned many small mammals throughout my life, so I am very comfortable with guinea pigs, hamsters, and the like. I have also cared for fish and hermit crabs, and I am willing to care for your birds and reptiles, as well.

Meg did a great job for me! My two cats were well taken care of and almost sad to see me come home. She sent pix and a nice update each time. No worries about the kitties while I was away!
