Top Quality Pet Care - In Memory of Lucy 🕊️
My earliest childhood memories include a safari of different animals, there has almost never been a time in my life where I did not have a pet of some kind. This amazing privilege has allowed me to experience a variety of things and learn valuable skills that helped me go on to raise and train my dog Lucy, who sadly passed just shy of her 11th birthday (far too soon). I have worked many different breeds & species over the years such as guinea pigs, mice, rabbits, dogs (Chihuahuas to Great Danes), cats (English Shorthairs to Mainecoons), equines (13-17 hands), ant colonies, chickens, Giant African Land Snails, and more! My only real limit is spiders and scorpions, bit too creepy crawly for me haha! I have volunteered with rescue dogs and have experience in managing dogs who may have additional behavioural needs (e.g. strong pull on the lead, dog reactive, etc) or who are in the process of being trained and need a clear structure to help keep them on target toward their training goals.

Safety, trust & environment
As I have worked with a variety of pets, I understand the importance of routine within their lives and will always follow your instructions. This includes feeding routine/diet, crate vs. no crate dogs, grooming routines, etc. Keeping this routine the same as they have normally will mean a happier and more relaxed pet while you are away as it will be familiar and comforting to them.

I wish i could give a higher rating than 5. Mckenzie was absolutely amazing, although my cat is a very nervous one she knew how to deal with him, very reassuring to have a trusting person you can enter your home. Mckenzie went out of her way to even clean up which i appreciated so much and wasn't even required but goes to show how much she goes above and beyond. I would recommend to anyone and everyone, thank you mckenzie i will be using your services in the future!

Duke absolutely loves seeing MacKenzie. MacKenzie has looked after duke periodically since he was a tiny puppy! He’s always so excited to see her and we fully trust her taking care of Duke.

Schedule
Weekends are my specialty! I am employed full-time during the week. This means I am perfect for pet sitting during weekend events, weekend trips away, or even just a late night out with friends to celebrate the end of a long work week.

I am willing to consider animals with special needs/disabilities provided clear instructions are given to enable me to support them properly. I've worked with dogs who have seizures, deaf animals, wobbly walkers, and more.
