My earliest childhood memories include a safari of different animals, there has almost never been a time in my life where I did not have a pet of some kind. This amazing privilege has allowed me to experience a variety of things and learn valuable skills that helped me go on to raise and train my dog Lucy, who sadly passed just shy of her 11th birthday (far too soon). I have worked many different breeds & species over the years such as guinea pigs, mice, rabbits, dogs (Chihuahuas to Great Danes), cats (English Shorthairs to Mainecoons), equines (13-17 hands), ant colonies, chickens, Giant African Land Snails, and more! My only real limit is spiders and scorpions, bit too creepy crawly for me haha! I have volunteered with rescue dogs and have experience in managing dogs who may have additional behavioural needs (e.g. strong pull on the lead, dog reactive, etc) or who are in the process of being trained and need a clear structure to help keep them on target toward their training goals.
