Hi, I'm McKenzie! Since high school, I have been the go to neighborhood cat sitter. I have experience taking care of cats with various temperaments and medical needs. As a pet owner myself, I know how stressful and anxiety inducing leaving your fur babies at home is, especially for an extended period of time. I provide daily check ins for pet parents so they know their babies are safe and sound. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, giving you peace of mind knowing they're in good hands.

I have experience with caring for indoor and outdoor cats. My main goal when starting at any new home is to build a relationship with the cat(s), especially if they are wary of new people. I don’t push the cat into socialization immediately. If they are hiding away in the beginning, I start with letting them know of my presence, then build trust from there. Every cat has its own personality, so it’s important to me to find what works best for them. When I enter and before I leave a home, I always ensure I have eyes on each cat in the household. I want to know where they are before the door is locked to make sure they are safe and sound.

Mckenzie is a caring, responsible, and respectful person who takes her commitments to others seriously. Mckenzie has taken care of our pets while we've travelled many times. It has given us great comfort as we always trust that she's "got it handled" and our family pets are happy and very well cared for. She spends time with them, looks out for them and is great at communicating with us! Mckenzie is an EXCELLENT pet caregiver!

Schedule
I work a standard 40 hour week, Monday through Friday. For week days, I would come before I start work and come over after I get off. Typically during week days, I spend an hour and a half each trip, including feeding, play time, socializing/grooming time, liter, basic household cleaning, etc. When I leave a home, the only evidence I was there should be a happy and content cat when you return. On weekends, the time I spend with the cat(s) is extended to a couple of hours each visit to ensure they are getting enough enrichment and care.
