Meet Your Pet’s New Favorite Human
Dog Trainer • Animal Lover • Communication Champ With the average cost of a trained service animal starting around $10,000, I was incredibly fortunate to be able-bodied enough to take on the challenge of training my own—Monty, my heart dog and first service animal. From teaching him to potty on command and pass the Public Access Test, to more advanced tasks like medication alerts, deep pressure therapy, and even flying calmly on airplanes, the process took over a year and a half of hard, consistent work. My love for dogs, and belief in their ability to learn, grow, and connect, kept me motivated through every step. It took patience, dedication, and determination, but it also gave me deep insight into what it means to truly care for an animal’s mental and physical well-being. That same care is what I bring to every pet I look after. Whether I’m walking your dog, feeding your cat, or sticking to a detailed care plan, I follow instructions to the letter and treat your pets like they’re my own. I believe in over-communication, because I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family with someone else. You’ll always feel updated, reassured, and respected. I also bring 12 years of experience in customer service and 8 years in leadership, so professionalism, empathy, and clear communication are just second nature. When your pet is with me, they’re not just safe. They’re understood, supported, and loved.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard; however, I don’t leave my dogs unmonitored in the backyard as I’m an overprotective dog parent. Plus, summer is here! and even if it’s the colder months when you’re reading this, I have never left dogs out in the yard where I can’t monitor how they’re dealing with the heat. I struggle in the heat more than Monty does, though. He sunbathes and doesn’t like to come in, so then it’s family time outside for everyone. I have two very friendly dogs but if your dog is not a dog pup, that is okay! I have a big enough house that my own pups can be with my partner while I’m babysitting.
Ratings and reviews
McKenzie will love your dog as if it’s her own. Totally trustworthy and committed to the safety and health of your baby.

McKenzie is a real pro with dogs! She works on training and is very loving and patient with Hiro. She’s also a very nice person and spared some of her time to give me a few training tips. Hiro loves her!

I wholeheartedly recommend McKenzie as a responsible and loving pet caregiver. She has a natural connection with animals and treats every pet as if they were her own. Whether it’s going for long walks, keeping up with routines, or just spending quality time giving belly rubs and attention, McKenzie is always attentive, patient, and kind. McKenzie has personally trained her own service dog, which speaks volumes about her dedication, consistency, and deep understanding of animal behavior. She’s the kind of person who remembers favorite toys, quirky habits, and even preferred nap spots. Animals trust her, and it's easy to see why. She’s dependable, gentle, and deeply committed to making pets feel safe and loved while their owners are away. If you’re looking for someone who will give your pets the same level of care you would, McKenzie is the one you can count on!
If you’re needing loving care for your furry family members, I highly recommend McKenzie. Calm, reliable, and attentive to their different needs. She has done house check ins for me caring for my cat Reggie while I’ve had to travel. She is amazing with animals having trained her own service dog impeccably and is in the process of training another for her partner. If you need help with check ins while you’re out of town and/or assistance keeping them active with walks, she’s a great choice.
