Pet care is fully integrated into my daily routine—I work as a veterinary technician, so animal care is what I do professionally every day, and I also care for my four cats at home. I’m already used to managing structured feeding schedules, medication routines, litter box care, enrichment, and monitoring behavior and health changes. Because of this, I’m highly organized, reliable, and comfortable incorporating additional pet care visits seamlessly into my day.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my highest priority. As a veterinary technician with clinical experience, I’m trained to observe subtle changes in behavior, appetite, and overall condition, and to act quickly if something seems off. I follow all care instructions closely, ensure secure handling during visits, and maintain a calm, low-stress environment—especially important for cats. I also make sure doors, windows, and environments are checked carefully so your pet stays safe and comfortable while you’re away.
Information McKenna T. would like to know about your pet
It’s helpful to know your pet’s normal routine, medical history, behavioral traits, and any special instructions ahead of time so I can provide consistent, low-stress care. I prioritize safety, follow all care directions closely, and communicate promptly if I notice any changes in behavior, appetite, or wellbeing. With my veterinary technician experience, I’m also comfortable caring for pets with medical needs, including administering medications and prescribed subcutaneous fluids, while making sure your pet stays safe, comfortable, and relaxed in their home environment.
A typical day
For both cats and dogs, I tailor activities to their individual personality and needs. This can include interactive play, walks, enrichment toys, gentle grooming, training reinforcement, or quiet companionship for more relaxed pets. My goal is to keep them both mentally and physically engaged while making sure they feel safe and comfortable.

Loving Pet Care with a Future Vet🐾
Pet care experience
Hi! I'm McKenna, an Animal Science graduate and future UC Davis veterinary student with over 2,700 hours of hands-on experience in veterinary medicine, including emergency and oncology care. I've cared for animals of all sizes—from small cats and dogs to large animals—and have experience supporting pets with pre-existing medical conditions and special care needs. I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, administering oral medications, giving subcutaneous fluids when prescribed by a veterinarian, and monitoring pets closely for any changes in behavior or wellbeing. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or requires extra attention, my goal is to provide safe, compassionate care and give you peace of mind while you're away.
