I have been a lifelong pet-owner with many experiences of taking care of many animals, including working at a doggy daycare/boarding facility for years. I will always see animals as family and care for others pets as if they were my own family. I am a cat-mom of one living on my own and couldn’t imagine life without my little void. As a pet-owner I will always understand how important it is to have a good idea of the individual taking care of your fur baby before trusting them with the care of them. I have a huge amount of patience and energy for all animals young to old and simply love spending time with animals as they immediately cure any bad mood. It is as important to me as it is to you that your furry friend will be in good hands.

McKenna was amazing! I got regular updates including texts and videos and never had to worry that my baby was taken care of. I was on vacation and so was my pup because she was so spoiled in McKennas care. Can’t wait to book with her again!

Schedule
I am a full-time employee from Monday-Friday with odd Fridays off. I find that coming home after a stressful day and having to sit in bed until bedtime has become extraordinarily repetitive as I have no motivation to get myself up and go for a walk or out in general. I found that Rover would be helpful with this as it would give me a reason to get out of bed and become a little bit active- plus animals are a huge benefit. As for weekends, minus a few holidays throughout the summer, my availability stretches anytime from morning to night, no exceptions. I also feel as if sometimes life can become complicated which is why I have my cancellation policy to same-day because sometimes life happens.

I currently live in a downstairs suite central Saskatoon, with my cat, Rudi. As Rudi is reactive to dogs, I would overall like to limit the time spend in my own personal space with a client’s pup. She is super curious and would ultimately have a more comfortable reaction to a low-energy pup with low interest in cats. This is also important as I would like to respect my upstairs neighbour and their dogs as well. Short visits are limited but varies on situation, Rudi is very “hit-or-miss” as she used to live with a prior roommates larger pups and reacts differently on a day-to-day basis. In client’s homes I would be open to having an overnight stay if necessary, with the exception of long-term house sitting as I also have a pet to care for at home, and work full-time weekdays. I am totally flexible with this schedule and will cater to whatever needs a pet may require!
Pets
A typical day
I enjoy getting outside as often as possible as working fully indoors all summer tends to limit my outdoor time in the fresh air. Having an animal to tag along for walks (dog parks by request), and overall emotional support is super essential to my daily life. I do also enjoy having indoor time with all types of animals high or low energy as sometimes it feels nice to be in a comfortable area either resting or playing with toys. Overall I would like to spend as much time as possible outdoors when the weather is ultimately warmer outside, I enjoy scenic routes to explore different areas of the city while getting some exercise and socialization.
