I am a honors graduate from the University of San Diego and have worked as a pet-sitter for over 10 years. Right now, I work as an online personal trainer with a flexible work-from-home schedule. I am also getting my masters at SDSU in Poetry (very niche!) and currently have classes for a couple hours in the afternoons Tues-Thurs. I’m originally from Colorado and am looking for sweet pups to spend my days with! Overall, I am dedicated to ensuring the safety of your dog & house.

Any allergies and/or behavioral issues. Sometimes dogs are runners/growlers and that’s okay! I just like to be prepared to know how to best manage your pups. Even the most anxious dogs have warmed up quickly to me with proper introductions. I am patient and go at their pace! I am a huge dachshund fan (HUGE).
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood, ball throwing, play-time, anything active or just cuddling! I’m a very active person and love to take dogs on walks outside! I also love sitting on the couch while I work and giving lots of snuggles while I work on coursework.

Pet care experience
I'm great with all types of dogs (and cats!). I've cared for very timid and anxious dogs, dogs that haven't been potty trained, needy dogs, dogs with severe health issues, and dogs that bark a lot. I love all dogs and am active, caring, and attentive to every dog's needs and wants. I have experience working at my local animal shelter and working with pups with behavioral issues. I also have extensive experience with administering eye drops, oral medications, and injecting insulin to dogs. My prices reflect my high level of care and respect for your fur-babies and home! The best part? I have several families who have trusted me ever since I began pet-sitting in San Diego 5+ years ago! They say that they never worry when their pets are in my care. The highest compliment!

McKenna was a great house/pet sitter and dog walker. She was very receptive to my guidelines and the needs of both my 4 year old dog and 5 year old cat. I would highly recommend her to new and repeat clients utilizing Rover.
Finding McKenna to watch my two pups was a dream come true! I had never used anyone from Rover before so I was a little bit nervous but McKenna is so friendly and my dogs took to her right away. I got pictures and updates throughout the weekend and was able to relax knowing that my babies were getting lots of attention and love while we were gone. She will be my first choice the next time we need a sitter!
