I want to know anything that you think is important to know! Is your pet a flight risk with an open door or do they slip out of their collars/harnesses easily? Are they reactive to anything? Do they have any food allergies or sensitivities? What commands do they know? What does a normal day look like for your pet? The more information, the better.
A typical day
I like to cater my time to the interests of the pet. Some may want to play fetch outside for hours, others may prefer to cuddle inside on the couch. I can do enrichment activities as well, such as training a new trick, using slow feeders, or playing games!

Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm here in Dane County and have experience looking after many species: large animal, small animal, fish, reptiles, birds, and of course cats and dogs! I have officially been petsitting since 2018 but have watched the pets of friends and family much longer than that. I received my degree in Animal and Veterinary Biosciences from UW Madison in 2023 with an emphasis in nutrition, and I worked at a pet food store for 6 years previous to that, so I am happy to accommodate any special feeding requests. I own two large protection breed dogs myself, but have also owned and petsat small breed dogs, so I have no size or breed exception. I am happy to work with reactive dogs as long as you help me to have a thorough understanding of what scares/upsets them. Please reach out to me if you have any questions! I am happy to do overnights, stay long term, or do just quick drop ins.

McKenna is an excellent communicator! She kept us informed with updates and pictures throughout her stay. She is awesome and we will be continuing to use her services!
McKenna did a great job watching our dog and keeping us updated. She was also super on time, which was appreciated and nicely did a meet and greet beforehand so our dog was comfortable.
McKenna was great -- came home to very happy pups! And she navigated the beginning of the annual 4th of July fireworks in our neighborhood. Definitely would hire McKenna again!
