I work full-time as a Physician Assistant in surgery, but my schedule actually makes pet care very flexible—I leave early and I’m usually home early in the afternoon. My husband is in medical school with clinical hours that run almost opposite mine, so there’s nearly always someone home. Because of this, the longest your pup would ever be without a human around is about 4–6 hours, and most days it’s much less. Your dog will have consistent company, attention, and care throughout the day.

Your dog will be cared for like one of our own. We have a fully fenced yard where pups can safely play, explore, and get their energy out. Our mini Bernedoodle, Ruby, is a gentle, trained service dog who loves having a buddy around, so your pup will always have a friendly companion. Inside, our home is calm, clean, and pet-friendly, with plenty of space to relax. If your dog prefers or needs a crate, we have one available and can follow whatever routine they’re used to. Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or a quiet place to rest, we’ll make sure your pup feels comfortable, safe, and truly at home.

A typical day
Your pup will have plenty of fun and engaging activities while in our care! We enjoy daily walks around the neighborhood and weekend hikes to explore new sights and smells. In our fully fenced yard, dogs can run, play fetch, or just explore safely. Ruby, our gentle mini Bernedoodle and trained service dog, loves having a furry friend to play with, so your pup will always have a companion. We also provide mental stimulation through short training sessions, puzzle toys, or scent games, and plenty of downtime for cuddles, belly rubs, or quiet relaxation. Most importantly, we follow your dog’s usual routine for feeding, walks, and naps to keep them happy, comfortable, and stress-free.

I’m a Physician Assistant, and my husband is currently in medical school—we don’t have kids, so your pet will get all the attention and love they deserve! One of my most meaningful experiences was successfully fostering an abused and severely malnourished German Shepherd and her 11 puppies. I cared for them around the clock, including bottle-feedings every 3 hours, until they were healthy, thriving, and ready for their forever homes. That experience deepened my commitment to compassionate, patient, and dedicated pet care. We share our home with Ruby, our mini Bernedoodle and trained service dog. She’s incredibly gentle, well-mannered, and loves making new friends. We go on daily walks and weekend hikes, and I’d love to bring your pup along for fun adventures—whether they prefer a brisk walk or a peaceful sniff-and-stroll. Before becoming a PA, I played semi-pro soccer, so trust me when I say I have the energy for any high-activity dog. But I also adore couch cuddlers, seniors, and shy pups who just need a calm, reliable person around. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. With my medical background, I’m confident handling medications, special needs, and any unexpected situation. I’m committed to keeping you updated with photos, messages, and anything you need for peace of mind. McKell is the best pet caregiver in the business. She has a special place in her heart for all animals. She loves and adores them as if they were her own. I have entrusted her to care for several of my dogs and there is no one better. My dog gets so excited when he sees her. She is dedicated in making sure that the pets she is taking care of get plenty of exercise, love and attention. She has often bathed my dog while he’s been in her care. I happen to mention my dog’s Birthday to her and she sent him a gift. Who does that? I’m telling you she always goes above and beyond. She literally is a dog/pets best friend!!!
