Your Pet's New Favourite Auntie!
My lifelong love for animals has led me to a deep passion for pet care. I’ve had a variety of pets since I was very young, and my experience in pet care comes from a diverse range of household and farm animals. I've also volunteered at SPCAs and provided pet sitting services for friends and family, both during and after high school. While I currently don't have any pets of my own, I'm eager to spend quality time with yours! Working full-time, I'm also exploring avenues outside of my industry while taking care of your pets.

Safety, trust & environment
I prefer to conduct a meet-and-greet with all my clients before booking. This allows you to get to know me and ensures that you are comfortable with who will be taking care of your pet. It also gives us the opportunity to address any questions or concerns you may have. Usually, I book them in person, but I can accommodate an online meeting if that's more convenient for you. I have a particular skill in working with dogs that are nervous around strangers. My extensive experience with a variety of dogs and cats has taught me that some pets require a little more time and space to thrive. I am a patient person, and I understand the importance of creating a comfortable environment for your pet.

McKayla was wonderful with our old girl! She was super punctual and communicative, she paid very close attention to details about medication and walks. We would definitely book with her again :)
McKayla’s communication was wonderful. At our initial in home meeting she brought along her own discovery workbook to learn how to best care for our pets; showing great initiative and organization. We received photos and updates over our weekend away. Best of all we returned to happy dogs who obviously enjoyed their time with her.
Mckayla is incredibly professional, communicative, and thoughtful with my pets. It was clear she took extra care to make sure they were comfortable and well looked after. The updates and attention to detail was great. I am very grateful & happy to continue using her services in the future. Highly recommend!
McKayla took excellent care of Bella my cat. She took excellent notes of my instructions. I loved seeing the pictures she was able to take if my shy cat 🐈.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing McKayla for many years — our connection began when my brother married into her extended family, and she’s now also our roommate. Over that time, she’s proven to be one of the most reliable, trustworthy, and hardworking people I know. Whenever my husband and I travel, she takes wonderful care of our Frenchie, treating him with the same love and attention we do. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in great hands while we’re away. She’s attentive, communicative, and genuinely enjoys spending time with animals — qualities that make her perfectly suited for dog walking and pet care. Beyond her skills with pets, she’s also a thoughtful and responsible roommate, which speaks volumes about her character and dependability. I have no doubt that she’ll bring that same level of care and professionalism to every pet she looks after. After all, our pets aren’t just animals — they’re family!
Mckayla dog sat my girl, Sadie, for a week a while back. Sadie loved her time with McKayla. I cook Sadie’s daily diet and feed her a variety of grains, vegetables, fruit and poultry. I vary the amounts and frequency of each, which can be a bit of confusing for the uninitiated. Even so, McKayla did an excellent job maintaining Sadie’s diet as I would have had I been home. She also ensured that Sadie had her requisite walks and time outdoors. I returned to a healthy, happy ‘pupper’, and highly recommend McKayla as a dog sitter for anyone’s cherished furry family member!

Schedule
I offer Drop-In Visits and House Sitting year-round, and Dog Walking services during the summer months. My availability is flexible, with Drop-In Visits and Dog Walking available after 4 PM on most weekdays and between 9 AM and 6 PM on weekends/holidays. For House Sitting, I'm usually available to care for your pets full-time starting at 5 PM on Friday and ending at 3 PM on Sunday. If you need alternative availability, please reach out. I'm committed to accommodating your needs to the best of my ability.
