A typical day
I like to keep pets active but not overwhelmed. We’ll go on walks, play their favorite games, and I’ll make sure they’re eating and staying hydrated. I’m big on giving them attention and making them feel safe. If they just want to nap near me, that’s okay too. I adjust to their personality. I’ll always just try to follow their normal routine so they don’t feel stressed or out of place.

I grew up in a home that truly loved animals and always dreamed of volunteering at shelters. I was raised with my childhood dog and now care for two adopted cats of my own. Since I can’t have dogs in my apartment, becoming a sitter lets me continue doing what I love!

I have had the privilege of knowing Mayra for over 10 years. Throughout these years, there was never not a moment she was without an animal. Mayra has a passionate heart when it comes to care and compassion with animals. As someone who has 3 dogs herself, Mayra would come over and help me take care of my dogs whenever life would get too overwhelming for me. Mayra knew multiple ways to be able to help my anxious dog in various ways to remain calm around new strangers, was able to handle treat time perfectly, and provide perfect care when it came to cleaning up messing caused my my dogs. She is someone I would trust with my future human children and my future animal children without a second of doubt.
