I’m very gentle with my approach to animals especially precious rescues. I always want to make sure I build a foundation with them starting with trust and respect for their space as needed. I love taking dogs on walks and exploring with them, showing pets my love through different foods if their tummies allow, and giving them desired pets and quality time. I would be very happy to discuss if there are any wet foods that I can prepare for your pet(s) to mix things up, especially if it helps when they’re not eating their usual food because they miss you!

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, behavior issues, separation anxiety, prior injuries, or anxiety poop/excited pee. Will pet toys be provided? Please let me know of any foods your pet can’t eat or areas where they don’t like to be touched such as sensitive ears, stomach, surgical scars, etc.
A typical day
First, I would ask you about all approved activities and if there are any prior injuries to be aware of. I love to bond with dogs by playing with them with their tug toys if they have any or playing fetch outside. I would love to play puzzles with them (and cats!) to find their treat or hide and seek. I also enjoy playing with a laser point with cats or with the typical teaser wands if those are available. I’ll also happily sit and pet your fur babies as long as possible just to make sure they know they’re safe and loved.

I’ve always wanted a dog, but I live with someone who can't be around them. I would love to adopt a Cockapoo one day! I’ve been pet sitting on Rover for 2 years, and it’s been such a joyful, therapeutic learning experience. I’ve gotten to know quite a few fur babies, including rescues and some anxious pups, and watching our bond grow so quickly is one of my favorite things about pet sitting. I’m a quick learner and very comfortable and patient around pets. I grow positive relationships with them rather quickly, and I am open to caring for them in whatever way they need.

Mayah has watched my little guy Wahoo previously and he was sooooooo happy to see her again. As always she took good care of him, took him on long walks, and had lots of play time. She also kept me informed which I always appreciate. I would never hesitate to book Mayah again in the future.
Mayah was incredible!! To say that Mayah will take care of your pets and home like it's own her is an understatement. If anything, she takes even better care of them because they're not hers. Mayah is also unflappable. She was unfazed by a 4th pet (new rescue kitten) being added a week before her stay. And stayed unfazed as we learned two days into our trip that the kitten has giardia so he and other cat would need daily meds and the house extra cleaning. She picked up the meds from the vet, administered them and then even called the vet on her volition when she noticed some other potentially worrying signs. She provided detailed communication along the way as well. We will definitely rebook Mayah in the future.
Mayah is the absolute best and so accommodating.She put so much love and effort into caring for our home and fur babies. We received photos and even a video of her singing happy birthday to 2 of our pups. We will continue with periodic drop ins and house sitting as needed.
Mayah is amazing! She cared for our two dogs and two cats while we were away for a week long vacation. She was extremely communicative and she asked whenever she had questions about their care to ensure all went well. She took excellent care of our house too while we were away! We came home to everything in our house just as we'd left it and 4 happy and we'll care for pets! She even got our normally shy cat to warm up to her quickly. Would highly recommend Mayah and would absolutely use her to house/pet sit again in the future.
