Animal lover to the bone
Throughout my entire life I’ve been owning and caring for an array of pets including cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, and even the occasional flying squirrel. This past year I graduated from Duke University studying animal cognition. Now, I am a professional triathlete in Cary, NC which gives me a schedule perfectly suited to provide frequent care and potty breaks throughout the day. During my time in college, I worked with animals in the Canine Cognition lab and Lemur Center here on campus. With the Canine Cognition lab, I was one of the caretakers and trainers of multiple Canine Companion puppies who were training to be service dogs. Along with my 4+ years of Rover pet sitting experience, I am well equipped to watch your furry friends no matter their age, size, energy level, or special needs. Additionally, I have experience being a pet parent and I understand the stress that comes with loving the furry friends in our lives. I will care for your pets like they are my own— lots of love and snuggles as well as frequent photos and updates to the pet parents.

While I am with the pet I more that happy to go on walks, have extra play times, do some training, or do anything else that will keep your pet happy and healthy while you are away. I am a very active person, so if your dog is down to go for a run or hike, I would love to!

Maya is a wonderful sitter for our boy! She is so loving and responsible with our Hammy- in the instances when we cannot bring him, we are so pleased Maya can stay with him. He loves her so much and we would highly recommend her!
Maya is an amazing sitter and loving care-taker for our boy Hammy while we were abroad for almost 3 weeks. She was very communicative and super responsible looking after Hammy and our home. It was so clear that Hammy was well loved and given loads of attention while we were away. We highly recommend Mays and hope if we need a sitter for Hammy again, she’ll be available!
Maya did a fantastic job taking care of our dog, Ernie. She was very communicative throughout the stay and sent photo updates, which we really appreciated. Ernie was clearly happy and well cared for in her hands. She also left our home cleaner than she found it—highly recommend!
Maya is amazing! She does a great job giving you updates and pictures on your dogs. She stayed at my house with my two older dogs for a week. My dogs and house were very well taken care of.

Schedule
I am a professional triathlete which gives me a schedule which is well suited to provide frequent care and potty breaks throughout the day. I usually have 2-3 training sessions a day, but I can provide ample care before and after each session.
