I have a cat at home, so I am well accustomed to their sometimes unpredictable nature. I'm also able to take dogs out on walks and safely put them in crates if needed.

I am very happy to recommend Maya Polak as a cat and dog sitter. She is a veterinary medicine student with a strong academic background in animal care, including successfully completing her animal husbandry exams. Her studies, combined with her practical experience, have given her a very good understanding of animal welfare, behaviour, and responsible day-to-day care. She is also a devoted cat owner herself, so caring for animals is not only part of her education but also part of her everyday life. She is attentive, responsible, and genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. In addition to her studies, she has gained valuable hands-on experience working with animals in different settings. During the 2020 pandemic, she supported senior members of the community by regularly walking their two mature Labrador dogs over a period of four months. This experience demonstrated not only her reliability and commitment, but also her confidence in handling larger dogs and her calm, patient approach to animal care. At a time when many older people were unable to manage these responsibilities themselves, her help was both practical and greatly appreciated. She has also completed practical placement experience in a cattery and has had work experience in a veterinary clinic specialising in small animals, which further strengthened her confidence and skills in handling and caring for animals. She is calm, trustworthy, and knowledgeable, and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter.
