I’m currently working part time as a chef in Leeds city centre, and can be very flexible due to being on a zero hours contract.

I always keep a tidy and clean home, I am also very vigilant when it comes to small things they may try to get at or eat so I ensure these are kept well out of reach or are hidden away. I wouldn’t let them get out of my sight, always making sure they’re safe, happy, and having fun! Any special requirements for the pet, for example being kept in a crate, will also always be met.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or requirements (such as medication) beforehand so I can make sure I am able to adequately care for them.
A typical day
As standard I make sure to take all my doggies for 3 good walks every day (this can always be adjusted for each dog!). I like to bring balls and toys along so they can play and burn some energy too. Whilst at home, I always make sure there are enrichment toys and activities around, especially for the more energetic pups and cats, and try and engage as much as possible in playing with them. This could be anything from playing fetch, hide and seek or using tug ropes for dogs, and feather dusters, laser pointers or puzzle feeders for cats. I always make sure both dogs and cats have chew toys available too.

Pet care experience
I am a true animal lover and have grown up around pets my whole life. I currently have a cat called Patrick, and regularly look after my dad’s dog, Hugo (both of whom spoil a lot!). Family has also relied on me in the past to look after their dogs which I am always happy to do. I always walk and feed them and make sure they have lots of play time and affection.

Maya looked after my 3-legged dog solo. She was really caring and conscientious. He's quite a large golden retriever/labrador cross. She straight away developed a good rapport with him and they became good friends. I would definitely recommend Maya for looking after your dog as they will be loved and cared for!
Maya was an amazing dog-sitter who really looked after my little dog. My dog is very fussy and demands a lot of attention and Maya seemed to manage her with ease! I would happily have Maya look after her again anytime and Maya herself is lovely to speak to!
