Hello! My name is Maya, and I am an experienced and passionate dog walker and pet sitter. At 18 years old, I have a lifelong love for dogs and enjoy spending quality time with them both indoors and outdoors. I share my home with two black Labradors — one energetic 1-year-old and one gentle, easygoing 9-year-old. Caring for them has given me hands-on experience in meeting the needs of dogs at different life stages. I’ve learned how to manage high-energy play, ensure safe socialization, and provide tailored care for senior dogs. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have walked and looked after dogs for friends and family while they’re at work. I also have experience in puppy training, having successfully trained my own dog. During my animal care studies, I completed an assignment to train my pup to touch my hand with her nose — a skill that helped with her focus and behavior around other dogs. For the past two years, I’ve studied animal behavior and husbandry, deepening my understanding of canine needs, including how to identify and manage stress or anxiety in dogs. I own a friendly female black Labrador who loves to play and socialize with other dogs. Caring for and training her has given me valuable hands-on experience in dog handling and behavior. This has also allowed me to enjoy regular, long walks that are both stimulating for the dogs and rewarding for me.
Ratings and reviews
Maya was excellent with Ziggy our Border Collie for the 2 days we were away, she treated our Ziggy with the love and affection that we would give him! Maya also kept to the agreed times and was there on time both days. Maya kept us updated with pictures and videos of Ziggy and it looked like he had a lovely time with her playing fetch and giving her loads of cuddles and sloppy kisses! We will definitely not hesitate to have Maya look after Ziggy again. Thanks Maya! 🐕
We asked Maya to look after our dog Peggy whilst we were out at a festival on holiday and she was just brilliant - her communication was great beforehand and we were able to arrange to meet her the day before she would turn up to our holiday let to greet our dog without us. Maya knew the area and figured out parking and how to get there herself. She was reliable and punctual, so friendly and gave us confidence with her experience with dogs. Peggy was instantly fussed by her. On the day we were out she turned up on time, walked, fed and kept Peggy company and kept us updated with lovely photos and messages. We wouldn't hesitate to use Maya again, everything you would want from a dog sitter, thank you so much!

Schedule
I currently work part-time, which allows me plenty of flexibility to care for and walk your dogs. As I primarily work weekends and occasional weekdays, I am able to arrange my schedule to meet your pet’s needs and ensure they receive the attention, exercise, and care they deserve.
