What a perfect job for Maya! Aside from being unabashedly biased (as aunts have the right to be) about Maya, I can honestly say that I would wholeheartedly recommend her as an animal caregiver to anyone. Maya's love of animals was apparent from a very young age. Whenever she visited my husband and me, her first words of greeting contained a question about the whereabouts of our dog, Kuma. Had it not been for her parent's gentle prompting, manners would have gone by the wayside in her pursuit of playtime with Kuma. When we acquired our cat Mr. Misty, this same patient love was bestowed upon our skittish, sometimes disdainful feline. She loved playing with both our animals and relished caring for them, whether it was walking the dog, scooping poop, or replenishing their water/food bowls. As she got older and more involved with the business of growing up, Maya's love of animals never wavered. Enthusiastic offers to walk our dog were carried out safely and responsibly, and always with lots of hugs and praise (for the dog). I never doubted Maya's ability to care for our animals and knew they would get an extra dose of "Maya TLC." I hope this short message conveys my confidence and trust in Maya's skills as an animal caregiver. I believe that she would be an excellent dog walker, and someone in whom canine "parents" can place their trust.
