Maxx has cared for so very many pets over the years. Many of his dogs have needed specialized care including unique toileting situations and medications. He seems to have infinite patience and love for dogs of all kinds. Maxx is dependable, responsible, and kind. He's also easy to communicate with. I highly recommend him as a petsitter!

Maxx really came through for us in a major pinch. Our cat, Rigatoni, had been rescued from a dog-fighting operation where she was used as bait. She came to us with her fur matted, her ears tagged, and basically hid under the bed for the first six months we had her. Eventually, she started to warm to us. But even three years on, she never let anyone pet her and would bolt back under the couch or bed if any male even tried. Then my partner's dad got really sick and was hospitalized. We were told it didn't look good. We needed to scramble back east to be with him. But we had never left our sweet little Rigatoni alone. Anyone we could think of was unavailable. But a friend of a friend recommended Maxx, and even though we thought this was definitely not ideal to leave her and to leave her with a man, we asked him to come watch her. We were gone about a week. My partner's dad miraculously recovered. And the day after he was released from the hospital, we winged our way back home. We entered the house, and there, sitting on the couch reading a book, was Maxx. And next to him, cuddled right up to his thigh in a sweet little ball, was our beloved calico, Rigatoni. To this day, I don't know how he did it. Something about his calm, reassuring demeanor. It unlocked something in her. From then on she was sitting in laps, twirling around legs for a petting, and not bolting in terror everytime a man approached. Rigatoni is a few years passed now. We love her still. I will always remember her. And I will always remember the impact Maxx had on our family.

I never have to worry about my pets when I'm traveling, because Maxx watches them, so I know they're safe, well-cared for, and loved. His extensive experience working with geriatric dogs has given him a lot of practice with medication and animals, which helped with one of my older dogs. He's fastidiously clean, loves walking, playing with, and interacting with the animals, and has incredible patience even for the hard cases. At one time I had a dog that was afraid of men, but Maxx was able to win him over in a short amount of time. He's a complete animal lover, and a kind-hearted man who, when not caring for animals, is assisting elderly individuals in their home as a health care aide. I wholeheartedly recommend him, your pets will adore him!
