Pet care experience
I'm not even sure I talk about regular things with my wife anymore. It's mostly just what kind of original songs we've made up about our dog (Millie) that day. On a serious note, I have had dogs my whole life, raised 3 litters of puppies, and I am good with training and discipline when needed. I am also very well versed in play time and love to go on dog adventures. If you allow it (or request it) I will take your dog on long hikes, go down to the river, and if it's a lazier dog, just go bask in the sun. I am all about dog activities because they are what drive me too!

Maxwell is an incredible pet parent and care taker! We have 2 cats, a dog, and chickens at home and he is constantly helping to take care of them. We have 2 cats who need daily medication so he is very comfortable with giving pills. Our dog has had ACL surgery so we have dealt with a full surgery recovery, shots, physical therapy, and everything in between! He loves animals of all types and it shows in how much our pets love being around him.
Maxwell did a great job caring for my pets while I was out of town for 6 nights. Communication was easy and prompt, he kept me updated when he checked on my pets, and he is experienced with dogs, cats, and administering medications they may need. At my client's homes I am willing to do regular walks or yard time with dogs. I am willing to do longer hikes if the dogs are built for it. Pretty much whatever the client prefers. I usually have no problems staying at other houses and I am willing to do most pet services. I can not board pets at my own home due to the varying issues that come with having my own pet menagerie at home.

I think its important to know about their medications and allergies. Additionally I think it is very important to know how your dogs react to other dogs, cats, and people (especially children). That way I am prepared when I am out of the house with them.
A typical day
I like to go to the James River park system and various other parks dependent on where the client's home is located for a big outing and to get their energy out. If the dogs need more intensive hikes I am happy to do that as well (also good for me!). I will play with the dogs and cats as much or as little as they want and take care of their overall wellbeing.

I currently am forming my own biological consulting business so I have a lot of work from home/ work from my laptop that I am doing. This allows me to work at other peoples' houses while watching their pets. I am currently available 5 days a week for house sitting and on some weekends depending on my schedule
