I grew up alongside a fluffy white dog who lived to be 16, as well as caring for two Chinese dwarf hamsters and a leopard gecko for three years before adopting my current dog in 2016, two domestic rats in 2022, fostering a rescue pit bull, and adopting a shelter cat in early 2024. I have had experience with dog training since I was a child; animals are a huge part of my life and something that has always made me happy.

Safety, trust & environment
When going to pet sit, I recognize it is about the pets comfort as well as the owners feeling safe with someone in their home with their animal. I do not like to play loud music or go through cabinets- I am there to spend time with the animal and make sure it is well fed, given attention if it wants, and perhaps cleaned as well with a bath or a tooth-brushing.

Maxwell did an amazing job with my young puppy. He was responsive and sent lots of pictures during his housesit of Ruby!
Maxwell stayed with my huge dog for a week and, as usual, was incredible, reliable, communicative about everything, quick to respond, flexible, understanding, and most importantly, so very wonderful to my dog :) She stayed through a storm and I was able to not worry at all about him. 10/10

Schedule
I am a student on weekdays from 11am to 5pm, and new to Portland as of August 2025! I have been on Rover in NYC for over a year and an half and have really treasured every experience with each pet I meet/get to revisit. Please reach out to me at least 8 hours in advance and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
