Hi! I’m Max, and my husband, Kyle, and I provide pet care together as a team. While Kyle also has his own Rover profile, we operate primarily through my account, and you’ll meet and communicate with both of us throughout your pet’s stay. Kyle joins me for all meet-and-greets, drop-ins, walks, and house sitting visits whenever possible. We believe working as a team provides extra consistency, safety, flexibility, and lots of love for your pets. If you’re looking for a solo sitter, we may not be the best fit, but if you’re excited about two dedicated animal lovers caring for your pet, we’d love to meet you! I’ve had dogs my entire life and was fortunate to spend 18 wonderful years with my Boston Terrier, Mayflower, who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. She and our current Boston Terrier mix, Piccolo, were the best of friends, and raising them together has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Over the years, I’ve built long-term relationships with many families, caring for their dogs from puppyhood through their senior years. We treat every pet like they’re part of our family and work hard to learn each dog’s individual personality, routines, and needs. I currently work mostly from home while finishing graduate school, and I spend only about three hours each weekday at the Trumansburg Library, less than five minutes from our home. Kyle also has a flexible schedule, so together we’re able to ensure dogs are never left alone for more than four hours and usually much less. Our home features a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to run, play, sniff, and explore. We have lots of toys, enjoy enrichment activities, and, for dogs who love adventure and whose owners approve, we also enjoy taking dogs on hikes and nature walks. For boarding, we occasionally host more than one dog at a time. We carefully match dogs based on temperament and comfort level. If your dog would do best as our only guest, please let us know when you reach out, we’re happy to discuss availability for solo stays whenever possible. To help us provide the best care, please include the following in your booking request: * Their personality and energy level. * Whether they get along with other dogs, cats, children, and new people. * Any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or mobility concerns. * Any fears, triggers, or behavioral concerns (resource guarding, separation anxiety, reactivity, etc.). * Their typical daily routine, feeding schedule, and potty schedule. * Whether they sleep in a crate, bed, or elsewhere. * Their favorite games, toys, treats, and activities. * Whether you’re comfortable with them going on hikes or longer walks. * Whether you’d prefer your dog to be our only boarding guest during their stay. Clear communication helps us create the safest and most enjoyable experience for everyone. Dogs have always been family to us, and we know how important it is to find someone you trust with yours.
