I’m writing this on behalf of my grandmother, who has a little Chihuahua named Mocha Polka. Mocha is about 15 years old, but she still has plenty of energy and a very big personality. She also has some medical needs and takes medication in the morning, afternoon, and evening, so finding someone we trusted with her was extremely important. We interviewed several dog sitters before choosing Max, and we are very glad we found him. He is wonderful with Mocha. He keeps her on her regular schedule, makes sure she gets her medications on time, and gives her the kind of attention she is used to getting at home. Mocha is basically the center of my grandmother’s world, so that matters a lot. Max also kept us updated with photos while we were away, which gave my grandmother a lot of peace of mind. When he stayed at the house, everything was left exactly as we had left it. We have also boarded Mocha with him, and my grandmother has always been extremely happy with the care she received. Max is dependable, attentive, and genuinely good with dogs. Most importantly, we never feel like Mocha is simply another dog he is watching. He takes care of her like she matters. My wife and I have hired Max several times, including hiring him regularly for dog walking over a period of several months. Our dog, Dexter, absolutely loved him, and we always knew he was getting the exercise and attention he needed. Max has also boarded Dexter at his home, and twice he stayed at our house for long weekends while we were away. We trusted him with our dog and our home, and he never gave us a reason to question that trust. He is a really good guy—dependable, honest, responsible, and very serious about taking care of every dog in his care. Dexter was never just another dog on the schedule. We have hired Max again and again for a reason. If you want someone who will pay attention to your dog, exercise them, care for them, and make them feel like the center of attention while you are gone, I would recommend Max without hesitation.
