Max's Dog Care
I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. Through every stage of my life, the one constant has been the joy they've brought me and the bond I've shared with them. Growing up, my family had a German Shepherd named Saber and a Corgi named Maggie. Later, we welcomed Katie, our Labradoodle, into the family. In college, I adopted my own dog, Teddy, a Chow Chow/Golden Retriever mix who quickly became my best friend. For eight years Teddy was the center of my world. We went on multi-mile walks every day, spent time running and playing off leash, and of course, he was thoroughly spoiled with treats and affection. As he got older, I cared for him through his senior years, including administering medication and making sure he stayed as comfortable and happy as possible. Sadly, I lost Teddy to cancer, and while I'm not ready to bring another dog into my own home just yet, I miss having dogs in my life every day. That's what brought me to pet sitting. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else's care because I've been on the other side. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, loved, exercised, and cared for while you're away. Whether that means long walks, playtime, sticking to their normal routine, giving medications, or simply providing plenty of companionship and cuddles, I'll care for your dog as if they were my own. I specialize in in-home pet sitting, so your dog can stay comfortable in the place they know best while receiving attentive, reliable care. I look forward to getting to know your pup and giving them all the love, attention, and spoiling they deserve!
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
Because I offer pet sitting in my clients' homes, my goal is to keep your pet's routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you're away. I'll follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, favorite toys, bedtime habits, and anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable and secure. Every dog receives plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection based on their individual needs. Whether your pup loves long walks, a game of fetch, or just relaxing with someone nearby, I'm happy to adapt to what makes them happiest. I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pet and your home. I'll treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own, and I'll keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, well-cared-for pet and a home just as you left it.
Ratings and reviews
Max is hands down one of the most reliable and caring pet sitters I know. He's watched my dog and treated her like family, going out of his way to make sure she felt safe and loved the whole time. Anyone would be lucky to have him care for their pet!
Our grandson Max has loved dogs from early childhood. The love and responsible care that he gave his dog Teddy was exceptional. Losing Teddy was heartbreaking and until he can own another, he would consider it a privilege to show his love and kindness to other wonderful pets with the same exceptional and responsible care that he gave to his wonderful Teddy.
Max is my son and grew up in a household full of pets, pets who were responsibly loved and cared for throughout the seasons of their lives. We had guinea pigs and cats, while my parents had dogs (my parents lived a block away). In Max's sophomore year at college, he adopted a puppy. I was initially concerned as he was still a student and not established; however, he rose to the occasion in every way. His dog, my granddog, Teddy, was well loved and led a life with every comfort extended to him (full house access, including sofas and beds!). He was never an outdoor doggo, but went on ample walks and had outdoor adventures, including trips to Tahoe & the snow, the high desert, the foothills of the California coastal mountains, and San Francisco's Presidio. Max is a very responsible, structured young adult, and any pet in his care could be considered lucky, and I'm sure the feeling would be reciprocal, as Max is an avid dog lover!
Max is an amazing pet sitter! He watched my cat and two dogs and did great with them. One of my dogs tends to resist going on walks if he doesn’t feel comfortable, but Max made him feel great and he walked without an issue. Max is patient, kind, and personable. I’d definitely have him pet sit for me again, and I’d recommend him to any of my friends and family!

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work a hybrid schedule and am in the office from approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Outside of those hours, I work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day.
