Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Maxi, and I am very experienced with taking care of animals. I have a lot of experience with boarding pets in my previous apartments, walking several regular clients daily, and with house and farm sitting. I'm working towards a career as a game warden, with a certificate in Wildlife Conservation & Forestry Management and currently gaining a degree in Criminal Justice. I’m very compassionate about animal care and am just a naturally loving person; I think your fluffy companion will agree! Maxi was great with our 5-month old pup Pascal! She is clearly knowledgeable about dog behaviors and needs and was very responsive/sent us updates while we were away. She was also flexible with scheduling. Will be asking Maxi to house sit and watch Pascal again!
Maxi was great with our cat! She gave him lots of attention while we were gone, sent great photos and videos, and gave updates.
Maxi was wonderful with my dog. I appreciate her flexibility and effort. She made me feel comfortable leaving my pet with her.
Maxi loves and cares for my two corgis like they are her own. I am so lucky to have found her and am truly grateful for the joy she brings into our lives! The corgis absolutely adore her! At the very mention of her name, their huge ears perk up and they frantically run around to look for her. The bond they share with her is truly heartwarming. Maxi is bright, cheerful, patient, and warm and is equally reliable, loyal, and trustworthy. I know my dogs and home are safe and responsibly cared for when she is at the helm. I love receiving her photo updates from their adventures together (like amazing IG post-worthy pics) and hearing about their walks, usually including a story or two about enjoyable conversations with my neighbors, positive interactions with other dogs, or discoveries of a beautiful garden or new fruit they found in the area (my favorite). Maxi is full of life and this may seem weird, but I like the idea of the corgis experiencing the wonders of world or just Portland through her eyes, if even only for an hour a day!

I am adaptable to any needs your pets may have! I have administered medicine and can abide to any routine you need me to. I am physically trained with handling big and /or reactive dogs. I understand “dog language” and am able to anticipate their moves, as well as their needs. I am very observant of our surroundings, and can act quickly if we are trying to avoid confrontation with other dogs. As an employee I am very punctual, communicative and dependable!!
A typical day
I like morning jogs! I go on several walks a day. I’m very diligent about getting exercise for the dogs, making sure they’re hydrated, logging their poops and overall observation. I like to play both in and outside, and I take a lot of pictures! I’ll happily frequent dog parks if that’s something you’d like me to do.

I currently have several repeat and daily clients, some regular house sittings, and experience with boarding peoples pets in my own apartment, previous to adopting my rabbit.
