Experience fostering rescues + raising guide dogs
I’ve had dogs all my life, starting with a rescue Dalmatian cross when I was about 3. As she got older we started fostering other rescue dogs from Many Tears rescue. Through them we cared for tens of dogs of all shapes and sizes, ages and confidences sometimes for months at a time. After this we joined the guide dogs puppy walking scheme where we looked after two consecutive guide dog puppies for a year each. Both went on to graduate as successful guide dogs. Nowadays, I frequently house sit for my parents to look after their Double Doodle Barney, cat Colin, and multitude of fish. Emily has always been around animals including cats, dogs, and horses. She has a knack for building trust and relationships with animals and often looks after the spaniel puppy from work when the owner needs a break, and has fixed a lot of behaviours and helped with her training no end.

Ratings and reviews
Alfie had a lovely time with Emily who was very approachable and kept me updated with Alfie’s day.

Max and Emily have been great to take care of our Kuma! Kuma was not feeling great before the day care, he had a bit of a stomach issue, but Max was great to keep us updated and reassured and Kuma seemed better afterwards! We will book again for sure!

Max and Emily were great. Great communication and very understanding when our travel back to collect our dogs started getting very difficult. Would definitely use again.

She was very good with Leo! I got detailed information about the walk plus photos. I will book her again !

Max was fantastic! Kind and attentive to Oscar, super responsive and we'll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended!

Amazing! Highly recommended!

Calendar and availability
Schedule
Emily and I both work from early until 17:00, but while I’m Monday to Friday she is Wednesday to Sunday meaning we are available to help a Friday night all the way to Tuesday evening. Emily works at a dog friendly open site with other dogs resident so with owners agreement could take dogs to work occasionally on other days too.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
We have a cosy manageable ground floor flat with easy access to outside and adjoining green space through our own external door. Your dog would be kept company at all times, having free run of the flat and being supervised whenever trips outside were needed. We have space for crates if this suits your dog, and can accommodate any house rules requested.
A typical day
Dogs would be given as much activity as they needed, we typically start the morning with a walk to one of the many parks or green spaces nearby. With the owner’s permission this can include a long-lead or off lead run. Afterwards is breakfast and games at home. If we have any chores to run that day we’d walk into town with the dog to get these done. Arriving back at home would be time for lunch for us and a nap for the dogs if they want it. Another walk in the afternoon back to a park, ideally a different one to the morning, and back to the flat for some time to relax with some more games or a chew (and a cup of tea for us!).
