Lifelong Dog Lover
I’ve always loved being around dogs and grew up with two wonderful Labrador Retrievers, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. From long walks and playtime to feeding, grooming, and plenty of attention, I’ve always enjoyed making sure they’re happy, healthy, and well looked after. I’ve also spent a lot of time at my grandmother’s farm, where she’s had Border Collies for many years, giving me experience with energetic working breeds and different dog personalities. More recently, I’ve helped a friend who works through Rover with dog sitting and walks, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs outside of my own family. I understand that every dog is unique, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I’ll always treat your dog with the same care, patience, and affection I’d give my own, while keeping you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing they’re in safe hands.

Max has always been brilliant with dogs after growing up around two different Labradors. He recently lost his black Labrador, who had a very happy life and was absolutely spoiled. Max has a huge back garden for your dog to run around and play. He has also just come back from long-term backpacking and has deliberately decided not to immediately return to full time work so that he can enjoy life by dog sitting. This means your dog will have his full love and attention throughout their stay.
I've known Max for over 10 years, and he's looked after my dog many times over the years. I trust him completely, and my dog absolutely loves spending time with him. Max is incredibly kind, reliable and genuinely passionate about animals. He always goes the extra mile to make sure pets are happy, comfortable and well cared for, treating them as if they were his own. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible and loving pet caregiver. Any pet would be lucky to have Max looking after them.

Schedule
After recently returning from a 7-month trip around South America, I now have plenty of time available to dedicate to caring for dogs and cats. While I look for my next career opportunity, I have a flexible schedule and can offer plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the week. I’m available for boarding, walks, and drop-in visits, with flexibility to fit around each pet’s individual routine. I live in a welcoming home with a spacious, secure garden and fantastic walking routes right on our doorstep, including riverside paths that are perfect for dogs. Having grown up with Labradors, I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know how much joy and companionship pets bring into a home, and I’d love the opportunity to provide that same care and attention to other people’s pets. I will always follow your instructions closely, respect your pet’s routine, and make sure they feel relaxed, happy, and at home.
