I would like to know how well trained a dog is before sitting him or her, any allergies, specific dietary needs, and or special concerns. We prefer small to medium sized dogs that like to go for walks/hikes, or rest indoors.

I prefer to stay local to home, choosing routes or parks nearby, that are safe to drive to. Besides walking or hiking, I can practice fetch, dog behavior strategy, and play or petting as a form of exercise and reward.

~ I consider myself a compassionate caretaker in as much as I do. ~ * Although I have only had two dogs of my own: a Spaniel-mix (rescue) & Terrier-mix (from a litter) I took upon a role of part-time caretaker, by helping to feed, walk, and bathe our dogs. I enjoyed using a k9sportsack to carry our smaller pup on extended hikes when terrain was tough. I hope that your pet can enjoy their time with my family and myself - as I believe we are keen to sense a pet's basic needs. Personally, I know of fun &/or calm places to take pets on brief outings outdoors, including trails &/or parks. I also take time to clean up along the way, or afterwards. Please feel free to browse my Facebook (Max Allan Mosesman) or Instagram profile (maxmosesman) where I post my most frequented routes, travels, & hobbies. If your pet does end up booking a stay with us (please schedule a Meet & Greet beforehand in order to meet us and our environment so that we can best prepare for your pet's booking as per their individual needs & preferences). Our home is small to medium sized, and good for up to 1-2 pets maximum (if they are already house trained), to take naps within, and/or sleep overnight. Our Backyard, half-grass/half-patio is also on the small to medium scale, with fencing on all three sides. The outdoor yard has side access (to a Garage) with two gates (one is removeable) along the way. Both front & back yards contain flowers, herbs, and fruit-bearing trees that you or your pet may find pleasant to be around. Currently, we are only accepting small to medium sized dogs that are already well-trained & socialized. If this description matches what you are looking for - then we hope to help you and your pet out soon enough! I currently work/volunteer part-time - which gives me about every other morning to take your dog outside on a specific hike (if deemed suitable & appropriate), as well as check in on them throughout the day for basic feeding and breaks in the backyard. Currently we have five members to our household, and each person does a part to help out with boarding pets, which includes some combination of feeding, walking, playing, bathing, and 'light' grooming. We are open to any & all suggestions that specifically pertain to your pet and will to our best to make adjustments accordingly.

Thank you for taking care of our senior girl! She had a lot of fun and we got lots of updates. Max was very accommodating when our vacation plans had a lot of unexpected troubles. See you again in the near future! ?
Max was incredible! He showed tremendous care, empathy and dedication towards our 1 year old boxer. Equally, he demonstrated a thorough sense of understanding and gave calming assurances to us also. We received frequent updates and photos as to the progress of her stay with him. He truly is a kind and caring person. We highly recommend Max!
Max was very nice to take George for a hike and sent lots of photo updates. However, there were a couple of things that came up during the stay. First, he didn’t inform me that he was boarding another dog at the same time. Fortunately my dog generally gets along with other dogs, but I probably would have chosen another sitter had I known an unknown dog was boarded there as well. Second, George came back absolutely filthy, and I had to thoroughly wash him and his bed after I picked him up. It’s great that he was taken for a hike, but I wouldn’t expect him to be kept that dirty. Lastly, George came back looking very large and had several bowel movements during the 24 hours after I got him back, so I suspect he was either fed too much or got into the other dog’s food. Max is definitely a nice guy though and I appreciated the hike and the frequent updates.
Mas was AMAZING and VERY RELIABLE! He took really good care of our pup and updated us all the time by sending us pictures and videos of our pup. They also went on a hiking adventure which we really appreciated! We are very thankful we found Max because our pup is a handful and very playful, but Max was very patient about it. Max's place was really awesome, our pup enjoyed his big backyard and the hospitality as well! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAX!! HE IS RARE!! ?
