Hello! I’m a bubbly, half American, half British 31 year old woman with a love of all animals and creatures. I moved back to the area in 2019 after 10 years in Australia working as an accountant. I’ve grown up with cats all my life, but have lived with dogs for 6+ years with partners and roommates. Needless to say, dogs become especially excited to see me when I start speaking (apparently I’m quite high pitched?) and the feeling is absolutely mutual! After 5 years of working with hundreds of cats and dogs of virtually all breeds, sizes, needs, and natures, I can confidently say animals and I simply have a bond and intuitive understanding of one another. I’m also an avid hiker who loves nature and intentionally try to meet my 10k+ steps a day as much as I can. If I can have a furry friend as my companion to stay active with, all the better :) Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me; looking forward to meeting you and your adorable four-legged member of the family!

Maurisa is the best dog boarding in the area. She’s kind and loving and sends lots of pictures and clearly loves and adores the pups while we take a vacation. This is the second time we’ve had the pleasure of getting her to board our two chihuahuas, and I recommend her if you’ve got precious fur babies. I especially appreciate that she used our dogs special vest that he needs to feel better when it thunders. Thanks Maurisa!
Maurisa was great with our shy dog. She kept us informed of daily activities and also sent tons of pics. House was very clean when we got back. Our dogs blanket was folded across her bed too!

Maurisa was super caring with our dog and sent us daily messages and pics. She was sweet and thoughtful…always willing to listen and ask questions. She made our vacation better because we didn’t have any concerns about our dog’s care.

Schedule
I currently work contract accounting jobs remotely so I’m available 24/7 to care for all of your pet’s needs and desires. Nothing makes me happier than snuggling on the couch with a fur baby while I’m working or going out for as many walking breaks together as we can!

I live in a beautiful neighbourhood in Arden located in North Wilmington that is a pet’s paradise with beautiful luscious greenery and quiet parks for us to play in scattered throughout. I also have a very large backyard for us to play in or sunbathe as it suits :) It’s my top priority for your pet to feel safe and comfortable in my home, so they follow me wherever I go and sleep in the same bed unless instructed otherwise.
A typical day
If there’s a preferred route or park nearby, we’ll go there! Otherwise I have my favourite state parks like Bellevue, Valley Garden or Brandywine Creek which I love. I also live in the Ardens which is a beautiful, safe neighbourhood for pets. Tag, tug of war, sprinting, frisbee - anything the little bud desires!
