Availability
Available to petsit overnight or do walks & checkins. Currently working as a substitute teacher (per diem) and working on personal projects. Able to be with animals most of the day. Have experience petsitting for groups of animals, up to 5 long term ( 3 cats, 2 dogs), often 2 dogs at a time, or 2 cats at a time. I also make sure to keep the house clean during and after - checking the mail regularly and keeping it in a bag or box for you on your return. I have worked in Hospitality @ 2 different businesses (spanning 6 years) - and worked in the room cleaning & turnover aspect. Through my petsitting on Rover and TrustedHouseSitters, I always do a thorough cleanup of the house before leaving- removing dust and debris that piles up. I make sure to feed the pets based on what their owner has prescribed and follow the routine! I also try to provide the dogs as much exercise as I can - if this is suggested -- so they get exercise and get to run around outside. For cats, I always clean the litterbox 2x a day - and spend time with them playing or cuddling. Dogs get loads of cuddles, scritches, and backmassages too. If you have cats that are part time outdoor cats and also indoor cats -- I will only let the cats out, while I am at the house 100% of the time and supervising them, as I want to ensure that your pets are safe.

I have administered meds to animals during meals - and am familiar with this process. I have also petsat for dogs that aren't 100% potty trained - and use a peepad - am comfortable & familiar with cleanup for this. If there is anything specific or important you believe I should know, please let me know!
A typical day
For Dogs: I love taking the dogs on walks, runs, games of fetch & tag at the park. I also like bringing dogs to dog friendly cafes so they can say hello to people and get stimulation - while I also people watch and do some computer work. For Cats: I love playing with them - with toys and engaging with them. Indoor cats - I keep indoors - and use all their toys and set up little forts for them to nest in. Outdoor-indoor cats - I make sure they get a lot of outdoor time when the weather is nice- and while I am also at the house -so they are safe. I always make sure to ensure animals are comfortable and safe - before leaving the house.

I grew up raising chickens & took care of them for 8 years! Raising them from chicks to hens - and taking care of all the coop cleaning, fence maintenance, and feeding & water refills. I have petsat through Rover (since 2024) and TrustedHouseSitters (since 2022). I also love animals. I've become good friends with all my friends' pets. Love Dogs & Cats - both! Maurie went above and beyond our expectations. Not only was it clear she was very attentive to our dogs’ needs but she was also very communicative and took lots of pictures and videos. Our two dogs got the royal treatment while we were away, all thanks to Maurie!
I can't begin to tell you how wonderful Maurie was as our dog sitter. Chase and Rosie were so happy with her being there. I knew they loved her the minute she walked in the door. She sent lots of photos while we were away, so I could see how great they were doing. I would definitely use her again.
Maurie was great with our dog Finn for a week. She gave many updates and stuck to his routine, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. I would definitely recommend Maurie for your needs and will book again in the future!
Maurie communicated before, during and after the sit to make sure everything is going smoothly! She made a google photo album that keeps a record of what she did with tae tea throughout the whole sit, so I didn't even to ask everytime for updates! Super organised, reliable with awesome pet care! Both Tae tea and I adore her!
