Loves animals - doggies & kitties!
I grew up raising chickens & took care of them for 8 years! Raising them from chicks to hens - and taking care of all the coop cleaning, fence maintenance, and feeding & water refills. I have petsat through Rover (since 2024) and TrustedHouseSitters (since 2022). I also love animals. I've become good friends with all my friends' pets. Love Dogs & Cats - both! Some Pets I Have Petsat include: - 1 American short hair female cat - 1 older Maltese dog - male - 2 dogs ( Mini Australian Shepherd, Small Golden Doodle - 2 males) - 2 cats ( 2 half brother male cats) - 1 younger dog - pitbull mix with daily anxiety Med requirements - 1 older cat - 5 furbabies together = 1 pitbull mix male, 1 chihuahua mix female, 1 American short hair male cat, 1 American short hair female cat I have worked in Hospitality @ 2 different businesses (spanning 6 years) - and worked in the room cleaning & turnover aspect. Through my petsitting on Rover and TrustedHouseSitters, I always do a thorough cleanup of the house before leaving- removing dust and debris that piles up. I make sure to feed the pets based on what their owner has prescribed and follow the routine! I also try to provide the dogs as much exercise as I can - if this is suggested -- so they get exercise and get to run around outside. For cats, I always clean the litterbox 2x a day - and spend time with them playing or cuddling. Dogs get loads of cuddles, scritches, and backmassages too. If you have cats that are part time outdoor cats and also indoor cats -- I will only let the cats out, while I am at the house 100% of the time and supervising them, as I want to ensure that your pets are safe.

Maurie went above and beyond our expectations. Not only was it clear she was very attentive to our dogs’ needs but she was also very communicative and took lots of pictures and videos. Our two dogs got the royal treatment while we were away, all thanks to Maurie!
I can't begin to tell you how wonderful Maurie was as our dog sitter. Chase and Rosie were so happy with her being there. I knew they loved her the minute she walked in the door. She sent lots of photos while we were away, so I could see how great they were doing. I would definitely use her again.
Maurie was great with our dog Finn for a week. She gave many updates and stuck to his routine, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. I would definitely recommend Maurie for your needs and will book again in the future!
Maurie communicated before, during and after the sit to make sure everything is going smoothly! She made a google photo album that keeps a record of what she did with tae tea throughout the whole sit, so I didn't even to ask everytime for updates! Super organised, reliable with awesome pet care! Both Tae tea and I adore her!
Maurie has been a dream petsitter...she has a sixth in dealing with animals. Ever since we first contracted with Maurie to stay in our home and care for our four pets (two cats and two dogs), we've noticed distinct positive outcomes. Our pets are visibly calmer, happier, more rested, and less agitated and anxious. They all appear healthier and more trim. Maurie promotes long walks and consistent interaction with them, and she doesn't overdue giving them treats. Maurie is the greatest person...we recommend her wholeheartedly as a petsitter! It was an absolute pleasure to have Maurie taking care of our cats and our house! She is very organized, prompt, proactive, thoughtful, and kind. Maurie has exceptional animal observation skills and quickly figured out how to make our two cats comfortable. She set up their toys and cat furniture to create a new and interesting environment for them. Maurie’s communication with us was outstanding – multiple pictures and communications every day! And from the pictures, it was pretty clear that the cats were enjoying being with her and enjoying life in general, which gave us great peace of mind. Maurie left the house clean and tidy and even cleaned our refrigerator shelves – wow! We whole-heartedly recommend Maurie!

Dates de la garde
Available to petsit overnight or do walks & checkins. Currently working as a substitute teacher (per diem) and working on personal projects. Able to be with animals most of the day. Have experience petsitting for groups of animals, up to 5 long term ( 3 cats, 2 dogs), often 2 dogs at a time, or 2 cats at a time. I also make sure to keep the house clean during and after - checking the mail regularly and keeping it in a bag or box for you on your return.
