Pet care experience

For me, the pups always come first.

Hi, I’m Maura! I moved to St. Pete about seven years ago and live in a house with a fenced in backyard. I joined Rover because I have the love of my life, Beans, my three year old Labradoodle, and he’s a basically my whole world. I’ve always loved animals, and I realized there are weekends when I’m just home spending time with Beans and I would be so happy with more dogs around! If I’m watching your pup, just know they’re treated like they’re at home. They can relax on the couch, cuddle on the bed, play fetch, and go on walks, whatever makes them feel comfortable and at home. I want it to feel like a fun, safe place, not like they’re away from their people. Beans also loves having a buddy around. Since I can’t get another dog right now, he gets a playmate, and I get to spend time with another sweet pup while helping you feel confident your dog is well cared for. Just contact me if you think we’d be a great fit!

We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter than Maura! From the very beginning, she was warm, dependable, attentive, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Knowing our pets were in Maura’s care gave us such peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated, was incredibly responsive, and took wonderful care of everything. It was obvious our pets were comfortable and happy with her—which, as any pet parent knows, means everything! ❤️ Maura went above and beyond, and we came home to happy, well-cared-for pets. We would trust her with them again without hesitation and will absolutely be using her in the future. I can’t recommend Maura highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pets as if they were her own, she’s the one! Five stars all the way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Schedule

I have a hybrid work schedule, so I’m typically home throughout the day. I’m only in the office for about an hour each afternoon (from 4:30–5:30), which means I’m around most of the time to give dogs attention, take them on walks, and keep them on their normal routines. I start my mornings with the dogs and make sure they get plenty of exercise, care, and companionship. My home is also well set up for dog care. It has two separate living spaces, so if dogs ever need to be separated during the short time I’m away, each dog still has a full, comfortable living room, not a crate or small space. This allows everyone to feel relaxed, safe, and at home at all times.

Safety, trust & environment

My home is very dog-friendly, and Beans, my bestest friend, sleeps in my bed. Dogs I care for are welcome to sleep in my bed as well and are always allowed on the couches. I want every dog to feel like they’re truly at home, not restricted or treated like a guest. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, and I’m also big on daily walks. I live in a very safe, quiet neighborhood, and dogs really enjoy getting out for walks and exploring. When dogs are in my home, they’re treated like part of the family, we live in the house together, relax together, and stick to a comfortable, loving routine.

Pets

A typical day

For us, I love to initially go on a walk so that the dogs can get to know each other. And then we can watch TV, play catch, snuggle and just have a little day.
