Hi there! I’m a passionate animal lover who is excited to offer professional and loving pet-sitting services. I have a natural connection with animals and enjoy providing them with the care and attention they deserve while their owners are away. I’ve been taking care of animals ever since I can remember. From volunteering at the Huron Valley Humane Society to being offered a job at a highly rated dog boarding place, people’s trust in me to care for animals has never wavered. Most recently, I cared for and trained my now 11 month old lab from 8 weeks of age. She truly is such a gentle soul and I promise to care for your fur babies like they are my own. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages and different needs. I’ve had multiple dogs in the puppies stage, given daily oral medications to dogs for seizures and anxiety, and handled varying temperaments. I also make sure to tailor my care to meet each dog’s specific needs. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’m here to make sure your dog feels comfortable, happy, and safe. I’ll follow any routines you’ve established, whether it’s feeding times, bathroom breaks, or specific instructions for their care. I would love the opportunity to meet your pet, learn more about their personality, and provide the best care possible while you’re away. I promise to treat your pet with the same love and respect I would give my own!

I am no stranger to caring for animals with ongoing medical needs and currently have one dog who has an extensive treatment plan of her own. I’m here to fit your pets needs and want to provide the same level of care they receive on a daily basis. They truly are part of the family!

Maura is exceptional on every count. The dogs (including our senior Black Lab) loved her when we met her at our initial meeting . She sent regular updates and photos. We lost electricity for over 24 hours and she handled it with patience and professionalism, getting all the items needed to keep herself and our 2 dogs warm and happy. She managed 3 meals and meds for our older boy and got them on an impressive schedule that we hope to maintain. Her knowledge and understanding of caring for animals, and her problem solving skills are remarkable. We were so fortunate to have found her and hope to utilize her services in the near future! Any pets will be in the most capable hands with her.
Wonderful experience with Maura. She really enjoyed taking care of my pup. He was very well taken care of during our vacation. Great communicator before, during and after. Our house was spotless when we returned. Very dependable. Will re-book with her again!
We are repeat customers of Maura’s, this time for dog walking while I was out of town. I loved all the recaps Maura sent and that she graciously gave a few pets to our indoor cat when she was picking up and dropping off our pup. The walks really helped our dog stay calm and relaxed for my partner in the evenings for the days I was away!
Maura took wonderful care of our 9-year old lab. He can be nervous being left at home alone. Maura made sure he had plenty of excercise and cuddles during our 10-day trip. She was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had and sent photos and updates on a regular basis. Maura also respected our home and left everything as we left it. I would highly recommend Maura and hope to have her take care of our dog in the future.
Maura is absolutely wonderful! I’m so glad I met her. She took care of my 3 cats and did a wonderful job. I have a cat with asthma that requires liquid drops in his mouth and she handled that without any issues and made me feel at ease knowing my cats were in such great hands. You can tell Maura genuinely loves animals and has a calm, natural way around them. She’s also very thorough and mature with excellent communication which also puts me at ease. 5 stars!!

Schedule
I’m currently a part time college student who has weekday availability to meet your needs. My current schedule provides some flexibility and therefore can give me more time to care for your pets. I don’t accept pet-sittings if the expectation is for me to be present at the client’s home 24/7 unless agreed upon before hand. If the expectation is that I may only leave the house for less than 2 hours at a time, that is considered constant care for my business, and I will need to charge as such. My constant care rate is 1.5x the standard care rate, and if it is over a holiday, my constant care rate is 2x the standard rate. For drop-in visits, if 3 visits a day are needed, the rate will be 1.5x the base rate. This is due to more driving time, gas, and less flexibility with my own schedule throughout the day.
