I’ve grown up surrounded by animals and have cared for both cats and dogs my whole life—from playful kittens and energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra love. My experience ranges from large dogs like German Shepherds and Shelties to smaller breeds like Pomeranians. About eight years ago, I moved to a farm, where I gained even more hands-on experience with a variety of animals. Now that I’m away from my childhood pets, I truly miss having that daily connection, but i have found through volunteering at a local shelter in NoVa and caring for other people’s pets has helped to fill that space in the best way.

Schedule
I work full-time in an office from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (including commute), but I’m available before and after work to help with walks, feedings, or drop-in visits. On weekends, I’m completely free and can provide both short- and long-term care.

I live in a 3 story town house with minimal yard, but I live in a very walkable area and enjoy getting outside, so I’m happy to take dogs on walks through the neighborhood, to local parks, or out on nearby trails. I don’t mind fur in my car so transportation to a favorite spot is never a problem!
A typical day
I live a pretty active lifestyle and i love being outside, and a furry companion definitely makes those things so much better! I absolutely love to have a furry companion take the dogs i watch on walks around Arlington or hikes out in Virginia.
