I care for pets by giving them loving attention and following owner instructions carefully. I make sure I understand all that is needed at the beginning of a job, and if questions arise, I never hesitate to contact the pet owner. I enjoy playing with pets and taking dogs out for walks, or even hikes if they and the owner are open to that. I'm basically ready to be their new favorite playmate :)

Please let me know any conditions or special needs your dog has (e.g. anxiety, medication, diet, things or places to avoid, etc.). I’d also like to know their walk and eating schedule.
A typical day
A typical day will include 1-2 walks, or more if the home does not have a doggy door and a fenced in area. I will provide food and fresh water for the dog in the morning and then take him/her for a walk after eating. When we get home ideally I hope for snuggles and possibly some play time with in-home toys. If possible for the schedule and the dogs abilities, and with the owner's permission I make also bring the dog on a dog-friendly hike somewhere nearby. If the dog is high energy, I may also bring them to a dog park, with owner's permission.

MK was very commutative and easy to work with. She managed my two wacky dogs and we would rebook in the future
MK was great! She cared for our senior dog, who has substantial age-related mobility challenges, and our cat, who has a neurological condition, in our home for two days. Our dog also goes on hunger strikes when we leave him so this was not an easy couple of days. MK sent frequent updates via text and asked for clarification as needed which I really appreciated. She was patient when our dog refused his food and tried different strategies to get him to eat. I will definitely ask MK to sit for us again!
Everything went smoothly with MK. She stayed at our cottage with our two dogs for a long weekend and they seemed very happy when we returned.
Maura Kate was fantastic and braved a really bad snowstorm to make sure our Toby was taken care of properly while we were away! She has excellent communication and kept us informed during her stay with Toby! Highly recommend!
