No matter what, doggos are always at the center of our daily schedule. I work from home teaching online college courses (thank you, Starlink!), so I am available at all times for the pups. And when we are outside doing chores on the homestead, the dogs are right there with us! My partner, Michael, drives to Roseburg or Grants Pass multiple times a week and can meet you to provide doggie shuttle service to our remote homestead, which is two hours from town. Our dogs, Ghost and Ranger, are super dog-friendly and LOVE having new pups to play with.

Information Mattie O. would like to know about your pet

Your dog will love it here if they.. -Love playing with other dogs -Tend to stay close to the humans or pack -Don't like to be left alone We do not currently have a fenced yard. There are no roads nearby, and we take roll call every time we transition to a new location or activity. Generally, the dogs all naturally stay close as a pack. However, if your dog has a history of wandering off and getting lost, this may not be the best boarding option for them. Let me know how I can best make your pup feel safe, happy, and loved, including their exercise routine and stamina. I can’t wait to meet them!

A typical day

We live on an off-grid 40-acre homestead along the Rogue River between Glendale and the coast. We have multiple cabins on the property, with ours being the main house and two other cabins where our parents reside. Pack walks down to the fenced garden, running alongside the 4-wheeler, taking a forest trail hike, playing ball, tug of war, swimming in the ponds, and bounding and wrestling alongside pup friends is the kind of experience your baby will have if they choose to do so. We are essentially a dream summer camp for dogs. However, we also accommodate "big lugs", disabled dogs, and snuggle bugs. The beauty of having so much space and our family nearby is that we can ensure every dog has a fun experience that keeps them feeling safe, loved, and happy each day. Dogs sleep wherever they would like to in the house- couch, dog bed, human bed, cot, or in a crate on the porch if preferred.

Pet care experience

I have owned 10+ dogs and cats of varying sizes and maintenance levels. I am comfortable with all ages and can provide whatever extra care is needed. No dog gets treated like anything less than one of my own (who are my children). Over the last five years, I've watched pets off and on wherever I've lived in Oregon. Now that we have a homestead in southern Oregon, I'm excited to give your dogs and mine the best dog life imaginable every single day.

Such a great sitter! Took excellent care of my dogs while I was away. They almost didn’t want to come home. I’d highly recommend and would definitely book again if needed.

Mattie took such great care of our dog Hobbes while we were away. We had never tried Rover before but after the level of care, attention to detail, how much activity and play time Hobbes got we will be requesting Mattie from here on out. 10/10

Mattie and her partner took such good care of my fur baby, Laika! Mattie was very sweet and accommodating. She also mentioned she was watching other dogs throughout the weekend, which worked out nicely for play time for all the dogs. Thanks, Mattie!! :)

Our 2 Bernese Mountain dogs stayed with Mattie for 2 weeks over Christmas break. Mattie is a true dog lover and took great care of our dogs. They even received a Christmas gift of bandannas! Mattie administered meds to one of our dogs and was very flexible with our pick up time which was much appreciated. We highly recommend Mattie!
