Not only is Mattie an exquisitely attentive caretaker of her own cat, Sarge - treating him like the family he's become - but through many mutual friends her love of dogs and cats is clear to us all, and her dedication to taking care of them (from childhood to the present) is next level. Mattie loves *and* understands animals. And they certainly love her!
