Availability
I’m a college student (currently on break from classes) who works part time, so my availability is built around this. This means my week to week availability may not always look the same, but I will leave my schedule open for Rover whenever I can, ensuring I provide your dog with proper care.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for your dog in your home, they will always be safe and sound. For drop in visits, I will make sure to follow your dog’s normal routine to ensure their comfort. For walks, I will follow your dog’s pace, while always keeping my hand through the loop of the leash and wrapped around my wrist to keep them secure.
Information Matthew W. would like to know about your pet
Three things I will need to know are: your dogs’ typical routine, anything special they may like or dislike, and any unique behaviors they may express. For first time clients, I will want to meet your pet before the official appointment.
A typical day
For drop in visits, if your dog has a favorite toy please keep that out, as I will make sure we get use out of it (if you have a yard and your dog plays catch, balls to throw for them would be great!) For walks, if your dog has a favorite route or there’s one that you typically take, let me know and we can follow it. If not, we can always find a new route to explore (for any dog, new scents is of course a huge bonus).

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Matt! Throughout middle school and high school, I volunteered at a local animal rescue, providing care to various dogs. I’ve dog sat for a few people I know personally, providing drop in visits, overnight care and walks. Additionally, I've grown up with dogs, and we currently have three of our own who I’m with every day and love very much.
Reviews
Matthew's positive energy and empathy are important pieces of what not only makes him a great friend, but also a fantastic caretaker to animals. He is not just a kindhearted human being, but also someone who understands the importance of the responsibility of taking care of an animal. He understands how important my pet is to me, and has never let me down when I need someone to look after her.
I know Matt personally. He has walked my dog a couple times and is always reliable. He loves animals and is a good choice for your Rover sitter.
