I love all dogs, big and small. I like to know how the dog behaves around other animals and people, to make sure I can tailor my care to their specific needs. I'd also like to know if there are any medical conditions I should know about, and specific do's and don'ts of what your furry friend is allowed to do inside and outside the home to make sure I am enforcing good habits.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog Depending on your dogs social and emotional needs, I plan to be available for the kind of care your dog needs. Usually a 30-45 minute solo walk, or with other dogs depending on your preferences. I also can take your dog for a longer period of time to do "doggy daycare" at my home in our sunny and grassy back yard.

I know your pets are part of the family, and I make it my job to treat them like family. I am dedicated to providing you with top level pet care so you never have to worry about your furry friends. I am licensed, insured and have years of experience with caring for animals. I've had my own dog walking business for the better part of a year, and before that have volunteered with animals and walked dogs as a side job. Why I love dog sitting My name is Matt W. and I was born and raised in Los Altos, California. I've had pets all my life ranging from dogs and cats, to birds, turtles, hamsters, fish, and more, and I have always found myself to have a special connection with these wonderful creatures. I am a hardworking, trustworthy individual, and make a point to treat your pets with the kindness, love and respect they deserve. My goal is to provide you with the kind of pet service that fits your needs, whether that be by taking your dog on a walk around the neighborhood, going somewhere off leash for some running and dog play, or coming by to give your cat some loving attention. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your pets someday soon!

Matt did an excellent job walking Charlie! He’s so great with her high energy and how she gets so excited to see him and go on a walk. He’s prompt and gets her energy out on a walk.
Matt has been walking our high energy pit mix since middle of 2022. He’s reliable, easy to communicate with, friendly, and most importantly, has a gift with dogs. Our dog was skittish around men, and Matt took it slow and we watched amazed as Kodie warmed up to him. We didn’t think she’d walk with him that first day, but it’s been smooth sailing!
Matt is a gifted person with dogs, and someone we trusted as a walker and dog sitter for years for our beloved Labradors. Mat is adept at handling all different dog sizes and personalities; our dog Emma was particularly anxious and wary of newcomers and Matt charmed her immediately.
Matt is so wonderful with my dog! I have an 8 year old Chocolate lab who loves to meet new people to the point where some people can be put off by her excitement. That has never been the case for Matt, he loves her energy and enthusiasm and is so sweet to her! He is always genuinely excited to see her and play with her in a way you only see with someone who LOVES dogs. And our dog feels the same way about Matt, she gets soooo excited to see him when he comes to take care of her! Hands down, I trust Matt completely with my dog and I know he cares for her the same way we would. We've used a lot of different caretakes on Rover over the years, and I've never seen someone love our dog the way Matt does.
