My schedule completely revolves around the needs of the pets under my care. I own multiple dogs myself and I also care for others pets too. Nothing is more important. I've worked from home for years and my schedule is very flexible.

Safety, trust & environment
The dogs under my care have freedom to roam 2 rooms and also use the dog door in the back of the house which leads down 2 flights of stairs to a fenced in yard. I discourage barking when I hear it because I don't want to disturb the neighbors. We have a filtered water fountain, many toys, dog beds, areas to get away, areas to socialize, and other dogs to socialize with! I take my dogs on multiple walks every day so they will be exercised and socialized.

Information Matthew T. would like to know about your pet
Anything that your pet is sensitive about? (food, their hind quarters, loud noises) What does your pet like? (tummy rubs, ear scratches) Do they have a routine that they are used to? How are they with other animals? How are they used to being rewarded or corrected on their behavior? Any special instructions or things to keep in mind that can make for a smoother stay? How difficult is it to get your dog to roll onto it’s back (submissive position)?
A typical day
Multiple times per day we are going to Bernal Hill or Mission Dolores Park for some off leash socialization and exercise. At home they have many toys to play with but we prefer the puzzle treat dispensing toys that can keep them occupied for hours. I am nearby and active in playtime to make sure that play stays within a manageable level of excitement, playtime can often devolve into pets and scratches.

Pet care experience
I'm a lifetime dog owner and I feel that I have gained an expert grasp of how dogs think and relate to others in an out of their pack. I've lived in The Mission for more than 25 years and I've had at least one dog for almost the entire time I've lived here. I live within walking distance of more than 5 dog friendly parks and my dogs and I frequent all of them at different times. I've cared for and loved many dogs from the youngest puppies to the oldest seniors.
Reviews

Matthew was very communicative and always sent great picture.

I was extremely nervous leaving for 6 month old puppy with a new person from Rover for the first time but Matthew was great and totally helped make me feel at ease. He provided daily updates and i returned to a happy dog. Will definitely book again.

Matthew always takes Hazelnut out on the most amazing adventures!

Matthew helped me out in a pinch. He was incredibly friendly and I could tell was so great and loving towards her. I am extremely thankful for him and would definitely recommend him!!
