I have a large roomy apartment with plenty of space to play, with a huge field of grass, and a large balcony with nice views overlooking it. The neighborhood is also great for walks, with a nature trail riverwalk just a block away. My folks also live right on Lake Wylie which dogs love visiting.

A typical day
I love to make sure your dog has the daily physical exercise and mental stimulation they need to have a healthy soul. I take them for multiple walks per day either on the nature walk by my place or the huge field behind it. I also like to take them to activities like hikes, to my parents lake house, or dog parks.

Pet care experience
Since my earliest memory I have been in love with animals of all shapes, sizes, and species, with dogs and cats holding a special place in my heart. When asked as a child what I wanted to be it was always a Veterinarian without hesitation. Though I eventually decided not to pursue that, I always had my own animals to care for and found some of my most cherished bonds that I will treasure forever. I currently don’t have any pets of my own but I’ve been assisting my girlfriend with her Rover account the last couple years and decided it was time to go ahead and start my own. We have looked after many pets in the last couple years and I have loved every one of them. They have the time of their lives with us and couldn’t find a more loving, fun, and safe and comfortable place than what we offer them. Owners are often almost surprised how much their pet ends up liking us, which I’m proud of. And it’s my honor everytime to share a little bit of life with them, as it would be given the honor to watch yours. I know how much people love their pets, and I reciprocate that to them however long they’re with me. Long story short, I love your pet already. 😁

Mathew was amazing and exactly what I was looking for in a pet sitter for my 4 year old Weenie Dog while on vacation . His location near uptown is awesome , his communication for the 4 days was impressive, texting me photos and giving me updates eased my mind through out because my dog and I are attached to each other like Velcro and I had anxiety leaving him with someone else . Turns out my dog had a vacation from me and had an absolute blast . You can tell Matthew loves Dogs and has a natural connection to them . Do not hesitate to book him for your fur baby . 5 stars all the way !
Thank you for taking such good care of Rocky! Matthew was a huge help for a last minute booking and very flexible when my flight got delayed and Rocky had to stay another night. Appreciate him taking such great care of him!
I can’t say enough great things about my experience! My dog isn’t the easiest to care for, so I’m always a bit anxious leaving him with someone new, but from the very beginning, I felt completely at ease. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and accommodating, taking the time to understand my dog’s quirks and needs. Throughout the stay, he went above and beyond by sending updates and photos, which meant so much to me. It was clear my dog was not only well cared for, but also comfortable and happy. That level of communication and attentiveness made all the difference. I truly felt like my dog was in the best hands possible, like my dog got his own vacation while I was away on mine! He even pampered him with a pup cup! I would absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and dedicated!
