It’s important for me to know each pet’s personality, routine, and any special needs ahead of time. I like to ask about their feeding schedule, medical conditions, triggers or fears, how they behave around other animals, and what they enjoy most. The more I know upfront, the better I can make them feel safe, comfortable, and at home.
A typical day
I love keeping pets active and engaged with activities tailored to their energy level and personality. For dogs, that might include walks, fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, or just exploring the yard or neighborhood. For more laid-back pets, I’m happy to provide gentle play, cuddle time, and enrichment toys to keep them mentally stimulated and happy.

I have over 18 years of experience caring for dogs, including looking after friends' pets and raising two Labrador Retrievers of my own. My background includes a deep understanding of dog behavior, daily care routines, and providing loving, reliable attention to dogs of all sizes and temperaments.

Matt took great care of my two large dogs! He came to meet them prior to taking the booking so that we were both comfortable. He stayed at our house for a week and we had zero issues! He gave daily updates with pics of our dogs, which was very reassuring, and asked questions to be sure of our preferences. Upon return, our house was just as we left it and the dogs were safe and happy. I have recommended Matt’s services to a friend and will absolutely book him in the future!

Matt has kept our labrador on multiple occasions. He really enjoys spending time with Matt and is always excited to see him. Matt really loves animals and it is apparent when he takes such good care of them as if they are his own. He sends us pictures and gives us a daily update. We are very comfortable leaving our dog with him and highly recommend Matt to take good care of your doggo.
