Full disclosure - Matt is my husband. We have been rescuing dogs for almost 20 years, and as a result Matt has vast experience with all breeds, but especially dogs special needs (behavioral and medical) and seniors. We also have rescued cats, chickens and goats together. Matt has also handled many exotic pets, especially herps and birds, in a professional context where he performed animal caretaking, husbandry and community education and outreach. Matt is exceptionally knowledgeable, thorough and patient with all animals he meets, whether they are our own rescued pets or those of friends and family. He pays close attention to individual pets' personalities, comfort level and needs. He is great at making animals feel comfortable quickly, and ensures the utmost care and compassion. He's also strong and active and can handle breeds of any size. He can do in-home care and will be working towards doing overnight stays at our second home in the country, so please inquire about these options.
