Having grown up with dogs my whole life, I’m extremely comfortable with all dog breeds and needs. I have a large, fenced in backyard that my own high energy dog, Finn, loves to run around in. He’s always looking for friends to play with so if you have a dog that loves to get in the mix, my home is a great fit. I work from home but would prefer for first time visits to be over the weekend in order to get acquainted with your pup. After a relationship has been established I would be very willing to watch during the work week. Your dog will be in very good hands and will return home very tired after spending a day or two with Finn.

Moving to Charlotte from MD, my wife and I were afraid to leave our GSD Augie alone. Matt’s as loving and responsible with Augie as he is his own. Whether it be meeting up for weekend play dates, letting him out when we have to work late, or caring for him when we’re gone for the weekend I think Augie’s more excited to see Matt than he is my wife and I. 10/10 would recommend Matt for caring for your dog.
Matthew is a very responsible and enthusiastic pet owner! I’ve watched him thoughtfully and effectively train and care for his own dog, who loves him. I would absolutely trust Matthew to take care of any of my pets.

Schedule
Your dog will get plenty of attention during the day. I take my own dog out in the backyard for play breaks every couple hours or so. We usually go on one long walk after I log off between 5-6pm.

I live in a very safe neighborhood for walks. My home is kept clean but would prefer for dogs to be crated at night to prevent any issues.

A typical day
Your dog will be very stimulated during their stay. I have a bunch of mental games in my home, along with a dozen tennis balls in my back yard ready to be tossed for fetch at any moment.
