Self-proclaimed "dog whisperer" :D
Care: I do not like leaving dogs for more than four hours when possible, and my weekday Rocklin schedule (9:30 to 1:15) allows me to keep them feeling secure and not alone. Communication: I provide consistent and punctual texts and calls. I’ll always let you know if I need to be away for more than five hours, if I’d like to have your dog around other dogs, or if I plan to have my nephew over to play board games. Courtesy: I respect you, your dog, and your home. I will treat your dog as if they were my own, and your home as if it were my boss’s (because you are). Dependability: I am punctual and reliable, as my reviews can attest. Photos: I’ll send picture updates as often as you prefer. At minimum, I send one a day to new clients. Special needs: I want to know their allergies, meds, anxiety, or quirks so I can meet their needs. Big dogs: Comfortable with strong or energetic pups. Puppies: Patient, attentive, and happy to guide their early habits. About Me I’ve loved dogs my whole life and miss having one right now, so caring for clients’ pets is genuinely fun for me. I’ve done plenty of pet sitting and house sitting, and I’m comfortable with any size, breed, or personality. I also grew up occasionally helping my mom while she worked as a vet assistant, which gave me a solid base in animal care.

Safety, trust & environment
I keep them close. If we aren't doing something and it is just "down time" during sitting, then I'd probably work on my laptop with them right next to (or on top of) me.
Ratings and reviews
Matt is obviously an experienced house and dog sitter. Even when he met our dog, he was clearly a "dog whisperer," because our wild and crazy dog immediately lay down for pets and calmed down. Matt has sent us dog pix each day. He's really chill, and seems very reliable. Highly recommend!
My miniature poodle, Roxy, had a great time on her walk with Matthew. He obviously loves working with animals and put her at ease right away. Would definitely recommend.
After a four day trip, we came home to a happy and well-cared-for dog, and a clean house! Matt was very communicative and send lots of pics during his stay. Happy to book with him again should the need arise.
Matt was awesome! Super responsive, came by beforehand to meet my three dogs, and took care of everything like a pro. All three pups loved him, and I felt completely confident leaving things in his hands. Sent photos too!
Fabulous experience with Matt. Our house was in perfect condition - and so was our pet! Matt handled complicated care instructions for an older dog and was flexible with our time frame. Highly recommend.
My dog loved Matthew instantly! During our meet and greet Matthew gave me the sense that he is responsible and truly cares for dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog overnight with Matthew and wouldn't hesitate to leave him with Matthew for a longer stay. I appreciated that he arrived on time, sent me a text with a photo upon arriving and several times during walks. Matthew kept me up to date and responded promptly to my texts.

Schedule
I have an extremely flexible schedule, so beyond other plans, I could easily work out a daily or semi-daily walk schedule with clients who'd like to see their dogs a bit more active.
