Pet care experience
Couple near Tooting Common
We are a couple of passionate and dedicated dog lovers with years of hands-on experience caring for them including our own furry friend – Lilah - a friendly, small to medium sized, neutered female terrier x German shepherd cross who would also be present during your dog’s stay. We provide attentive, kind care adapted to your dog’s needs to ensure they have a nice time with us. MORE ABOUT US: Lucinda has looked after dogs all her life. Her introduction to dog care was the family Shitzu when she was very young. Then along came a Pekingese in Lucinda’s early teens which she looked after until moving away for university. At the ripe old age of 17, Poppie is still going strong and Lucinda looks after the old girl whenever her family go away on holiday. Matt has also been surrounded by animals be that through pet sitting for family friends’ dogs and cats, and now his own dog Lilah! Over the last few years we have enjoyed nurturing Lilah from a shy, nervous rescue, to a confident, active, lady of leisure who these days is well accustomed to the good life a.k.a regular park and café trips all around London. We love welcoming additional furry visitors to the pack and including them in our home life and adventures. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Ratings and reviews
Lucinda and Matthew were amazing with my dog Mars! They kept me updated throughout the day and made me feel completely at ease leaving him in their care. Would highly recommend!🐾

Matthew and Lucinda (and Lilah!) took great care of Stevie and made sure she was happy and comfortable during her stay, so much so that I don’t think Stevie wanted to leave when I came to pick her up!

Matthew and Lucinda accepted our request last minute; they were very helpful and Silba had a nice day! Thank you!

Schedule
During the week we both work 9-5, but flexibly in terms of location, so at least one of us is always working from home and looking after Lilah already. Similarly we generally have good availability at weekends. We may be able to offer pick up and drop off depending on time and location. Your dog is welcome to join in our well established routine - usually we go for a morning walk (c. 8am for 30-45 minutes in the week but this can be longer at the weekends), a lunchtime Tooting Common leg stretch (c. 1pm for 20-45 minutes), an evening walk (c. 6pm, length varies) and a pre-bedtime toilet break (c.10pm). As we do not have a garden, we are flexible and attentive to doggie needs so if additional toilet breaks and leg stretches are required, we are happy to flex to your dog's schedule. We have a first floor flat which looks over Tooting Common and so we can easily pop out to some grass for doggie toilet breaks at a moment’s notice. We love going on long dog walks (especially at the weekend) and take great enjoyment from exercising, playing and trick training so for able bodied dogs we can offer a mentally and physically stimulating visit. We also offer plentiful, regular rest and calm down time between outings and play for your dog to catch up on their beauty sleep. We have dog friendly furnishings, including a sofa which our dog Lilah loves to curl up on and nap for a few hours while we work (as pictured). We are happy to maintain your dog’s usual feeding schedule during their stay however best you advise. If your dog requires feeding during their stay, please pack their usual food with them including any additional treats and/or dental sticks that they require so that we can avoid any stomach issues risked by a change of diet.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
For safety reasons, and both yours and our peace of mind, we will never take your dog off their lead during any outdoor activities, although they will be free to roam around our flat when inside. Similarly, your dog will never be left on their own without supervision. We will closely follow owners instructions as to the best way to care for your dog. Please let us know your pet’s requirements (e.g. if they struggle with longer walks or stairs or have any health issues to be mindful of) so that we can adapt our routine and care for them appropriately whilst they are with us. If your pet is staying overnight, we have a spacious living room in our first floor flat that they can stay in. We would be more than happy to accommodate your dog's bed or crate to ensure they are comfortable.
