Friends and Furry Ones!!! IM BACK!!
My name is Matthew, but as long as I can remember my good ol grandpa designated me as Mutt - and I wouldn’t change it for a thing! All my life I’ve been brought up with dogs. Unfortunately their years don’t last as long as ours.. that is why every moment with them is precious! My family has had a total of five dogs over the course of years, each with their own unique spirit and being. I’ve loved each of them the same; with my whole heart. I promise to love your doggo as my own!! So… I moved out to my own apartment and had to “retire” my services on rover back in 2022. I have desperately missed the interactions with families and their furry friends since then.. but considering certain life circumstances I find myself back at my mothers home and able to resume my rover services!! I actually have recently lost my job working with adolescent youth in an alcohol and drug addiction inpatient facility due to down sizing, I was the new guy on the block so I got chopped… as I search for a new job I am returning to rover to fill the gaps and hope to continue it throughout my new job as well!! I absolutely LOVED my past experience with rover and loving on your furry family members! MEET AND GREET IS A MUST!!! I will not accept requests without first having met the pet(s) you are searching for services for. I need to personally vet all potential clients and their beloved animals before committing to working with you. This is for your pets safety, my pets safety, and the safety and happiness of all parties involved!! Please understand if I deny my services to you I mean you no I’ll will.. it’s just that unfortunately I do not see it being a good fit and will need you to acquire service elsewhere. Thanks!! PRICING NOTICE!!! I know you may consider my prices to potentially be steep… however I would like for you to please be aware that I lose 20% commission to the rover app.. I also try to account for drive time and gas in my prices. I am living at my moms, working, just tryna get by! Please understand I wish I didn’t have to charge so much… but all things considered in today’s economy - I truly hope you find my pricing fair!! As far as training and experience is concerned I can work on whatever you are currently working on with your dog to reinforce their learning. I have a dog named Whiskey whom I adopted at a bout a year old. He was a crack house puppy that did not take to any male presence whatsoever. Through diligent work, repetition, consistency, and exposure - I have trained him and he is now a service animal. He goes with me any and everywhere!! So long story short I consider myself to be great with dogs - and you can read my reviews (all except one which was a slightly negative review…) but I will accept any and all criticism, for I aspire to be the best I can be for your lil family member and you!! I look forward to hearing from you!!

I'm so glad we found Matthew! Our dogs are a handful and they have a hard time when we leave. But I didn't worry at all while we were gone this time. Matthew sent frequent check-ins and pictures, and my pups fell in love with him. I would absolutely recommend Matthew!
I had Matthew start coming over for drop in visits with my two high energy/anxiety dogs while I'm and work. They usually take a while to warm up to new people but after one meet and greet and his first visit they started warming up and playing a little which is much quicker than usual! He is very communicative, and patient and friendly with the dogs. Will definitely have Matthew over again and I'm excited to see them warm up even more!

Matt was a great dog/house sitter! He was very responsive to all messages and made sure all of our requests were met. He spent a week taking care of my wannabee puppy 12 yr old lab while staying at our house. We received multiple updates throughout our trip and upon return everything was just like we left it. We'll definitely be using Matt in the future as long as he's still providing his services! Thanks again, Matt!

Matthew did such an amazing job caring for Sunny this weekend! So many hikes, pics and updates! My Sunny girl came home exhausted in the best way! As an employee of Rover, this is the care I hope all of our users & their pets get. Thanks for everything Matthew!!

I will ensure they get all the exercise, food, and lovings when I am home!! I only will be gone for the gym and errands seeing as I am currently unemployed.. They will be in great hands regardless of time of day/night!!

It is a fully fenced, dog proofed (unless your dog can jump 4ft) beautiful back yard to play and frolick! Otherwise the house is your dogs house! Furniture and beds are fair game unless you prefer them to stay off. All you have to do is let me know what you expect and it shall be so!!!

A typical day
A day in the life of a dog under my tender loving care will consist of various activities that engage your beloved pup both mentally and physically. It may be a hike through the woods or along the river, a jaunt to the dog park (if you are comfortable), or simply playing in the yard! If you have any personal wants for your doggo, all you need to do is let me know! I DO NOT WALK DOGS OFF LEASH! This is a major liability for me and your pup due to recall and newfound trust. I will always keep your dog on leash during our excursions!
